I just remembered this Ghana bread from my childhood that was sold those days in ikoyi. It was a delight back then. we would always trouble my Dad to take us outside the gate every weekend to buy it for us because it looked different from the regular four corner bread 🍞 we were used to. It was kinda crusty and dusty but we enjoyed it anyways grin

Some Ghanaian guys were hawking it in a basin and would spread butter on it when you buy.

Who else had this bread back then.
it's called tea bread here in Accra Ghana, i will buy some for you when I'm traveling back to 9ja

I ate this bread in the late 90s along with koko during my time in Ghana. In fact, I think it was an everyday ritual sef. How time flies. 🤦

Remember there are two types o. The one I ate as a little child was sweet but the one my town bought one certain time from Obalende around that 2013 thereabout was tasteless and crusty.

Maybe the crusty one is Senegalese bread I don't know now.

I am talking about the Ghana bread. . ..The one I ate in the early 80's . Very tasteless, compare to baguette.

Lool, we call it Tea bread in Ghana. Its my favourite with fried egg and creamy Lipton tea but others like it with Hausa porridge with akara stucked inside.

What is your favourite Ghanaian food?

I thought o! was a Nigerian thing, so you using it made me laugh. cheesy

Are you sure we love it as much as you guys?
With your kelewele and all.

By the way, I love how you people season your (ripe) plantains before frying.
Our style is just plain with no deep flavour.

That was when Nigeria was better than Ghana. Ghanaians were immigrants bread 🍞 then grin Table has turned now.

really ? Wow that’s a disappointment. It looks good. Am tired of Nigerian bread. It tastes artificial . Doesn’t look healthy either .

How's the weekend going @Sukkot,
So, you've abandoned chicken and waffles. I can see that your love life with chicken, waffles and syrup toppings is finally out of the window to be replaced by crusty Ghana bread. Lol... grin

Tbh, Ghanaian food isn't entirely bad.
hehe bro am just experimenting. That chicken and waffles is trash. Am back to amala and ewedu 🤣🤣 it’s only right as a son of the soil that I indulge in Amala and ewedu 😅 . Trust you are well. It’s being purgatory here in naija for the past week bro. Madness . Hot, no light, Naira crashing, food expensive like gold , gas as expensive as diamond. Just madness bro . But God pass dem 😀
