I'm not in Nigeria so you can take this as advice from a wicked Abroadian, but this naira crash has led to the availability of cheap resources for foreign purchase.

Nigeria's biggest resource pool is the labour market. YOU are the cheap resource. However the 'cheapness' of your labour exists only within the context of the going rates abroad...

You guys will probably never find a better opportunity to significantly undercut the going rates in Yankee and Europe if you have the skills to offer. If you don't, I strongly recommend finding a way to acquire valuable skills as quickly as possible.

if you can build a portfolio of previous deliverables and past clients, and if you're prepared to put yourself out there, then there might be bountiful rewards to be reaped as a freelancer.

This message isn't for everyone and quite frankly some of you might either be too stupid, too lazy, or both to see the vision. Some of you might not even be lazy or stupid, but just unfortunate in life.

But I promise you that there is a vision, and there's an opportunity to cash out for the talented and driven amongst you, I urge and implore you to take significant steps to make that vision a reality.

@ibime

On September 16, 1992, George Soros made history he bet against the British pound and forced the Bank of England to abandon the European Exchange Rate Mechanism (ERM). This event, which became known as "Black Wednesday," is considered one of the most significant financial events of the 20th century.

I read that soros made a billion shorting the British pound. Is that part of what is happening here? Speculators betting against the naira?

For years we failed to increase our capacity and now we are at a point where we can either sell or consume but cannot do both

Every day fking nnpc is forming activity reporting 100 cases of oil theft discovered. They never had any fking plans for working refineries - because of they did they should have been able to see the numbers

You're right. I have been in festac since 2001,and most of the times I came across him, (from then till now) he was selling recharge card under umbrella. I have no idea what he is doing now to make ends meet.

We are just too backwards in this country. This is 2024 and government is still trying to feed Nigerians.
