Shares of any company are open to the general public irrespective of social creed or status as long as they are put up for sale either through IPO, private placement, right issue or secondary market. The family members bought through the secondary market just like other investors.

They have destroyed the value of Transcorp for its shareholders...what is the benefit of the unbundling to Transcorp shareholders?

Instead of you to labour in vain in champion, why not use this opportunity to get TIP in these low prices.
It is the only quoted company in it's sector.The current situation of the country doesn't stop them from making money.They are in long term contracts with big companies, oil companies and Govt agencies.

The race the country needs right now is the production of more gas for local consumption and the building of more power plants
Perhaps the game is to get more big investors injecting money into these power businesses. Like AFDB & AFREXIM did last year with purchase of stakes and signing of plans with GEREGU.

For what Benefit: To create more value for shareholders, improve on service delivery, among others.

Is that not a long description of sharebuy back to reduce outstanding shares ? With the way prices have gone up looks tougher to do 4%. Maybe 1% will be done then.
