A moral police on social media has called out Herbert Wigwe's oldest daughter for not standing to greet the Vice President of Nigeria, Kashim Shettima.

The user shared a photo of Tochi Wigwe sitting while accepting a handshake from Shettima during one of the events organised to mourn Herbert Wigwe, his wife Chizoba Wigwe, and their son Chizzy Wigwe who died in a helicopter crash. He then shared photos of former VP Yemi Osinbajo and businessman Aliko Dangote standing to shake hands with Shettima.

It's a pity the small girl behaved in the manner she did.. I mean it takes nothing to acknowledge someone of the VP's status by simply standing (even if it's for split second), then sitting. Nobody is asking her to kneel down or roll on the floor.
Like you rightly said, cultures and home trainings differ.

Even traditionally a mourner doesnt stand to welcome or greet guest. you go to wherever they are sitting or lying down to pay your condolences.
