Rent in York is expensive and scarce, some single room goes for £700 and sometimes excluding bills in a shared house o. My friend is paying £1,200 for 2 bed house. if you ask me, it’s not worth it unless money full ground.

If you have a boyfriend/husband (and you no go show am shege later, lol ) come via masters by research while he becomes the dependent. As a dependent, he is not restricted to job employer or number of hours.

You hustle for 20hrs jobs, take your classes seriously and pamper your hubby while your hubby hustle. Before landing, use indeed and find out most available jobs in the location your are going. Get your references ready. Immediately you land, let him start applying and doing certifications required in that field. Good luck

You might be right.
Like staying off city centre... One or 1:30hrs away from town one could get house cheaper like half the price.

If he would be studying in Coventry, he would be better off living in Coventry (CV1/CV2 area). When I lived in Coventry, Nigerian students schooling and living in Birmingham were daily coming to Coventry for work (factory/warehouse), moreover it is just £2 bus fare between the 2 cities.

My MA schools in Kingston University, it is located in Southwest London. The school only gives u CAS and the process is seamless but getting visa is between u and UKVI which shouldn't be a big deal too.
However, rent is expensive in Southwest London, so box up if u really interested. An average shared apartment cost like £700 a month, and u are still likely going to pay deposit of a month rent, so budget £1400 for a start.
As regards work, students all over UK struggle because of the 20hrs/week cap but u still have higher chance of getting something doing in London.
