The price of Chinese import in Nigeria is cheaper than the price of Chinese import in UK. And it's not because of raw materials. It's because of all the extra tax.
So, a Chinese phone costs more in the UK than in Nigeria?

How much is 200k with this high inflation rate? This can only make sense if a bag of rice is around 20k and fuel sells for #150/litre.

How many bags of rice does one buy in a year?

That is the question to answer

On average, a family of four eating three cups of rice in a day no go finish one bag of rice in six months.

If you know this maths, solution is to buy food in bulk and store once you got the money to do so.

Kinda true.

Things are really cheap in Nigeria even compared to other African countries but the problem is they are not available
If you are earning 200k strictly in Nigeria you are in poverty though.

Big lie. You could easily do 1800 after tax if you do just one job. Spend 1200 easily monthly if you are single and save 600 every months. With an exchange rate of 1800 and even saving 200 a month you would have 360k. So what is he talking about if not nonsense

Diaspora is hard no doubt and the cost of living could be outrageous lol like some areas in California, but trust me, hard work and determination really pays here, I came here with nothing, today I earn more than 150k naira an hour as a nurse, you just have to live a reasonable simple life to keep all the savings 😆 🤣 😂, good luck to Oyema, he means good anyway

Driver - at least 60k salary
Maid - at least 50k salary

Oya calculate for driver, maid, domestic staff for the person earning 2k pounds in the UK let see what will remain for him to sustain his life for the month

That's true.
taxation overseas is too high.

but job security over their should be put into consideration.
We are not actually travelling abroad to earn very higher, but at least you will easily access good health facilities and the rest.

As a foreigner, it easier to become a billionaire in Nigeria than becoming a millionaire overseas

But he his saying the truth now.

He isn't saying the Truth, use your critical thinking skills properly.

His comparison is between London and Nigeria but should be between London and Abuja.

Where will you stay in Abuja that will make 200k naira foot your transport bills, food bills, utility bills,, accommodation bills, fuel bills, maid bills, security bills and gas bills? Before you answer this question critically check how much you spend a month in whatever location you find yourself in Nigeria.

Do you buy a bag of rice every month? And can you also mention one country that sells fuel at the equivalent of N150 per litre anywhere in the world.

Stop lying.

London is uk most expensive city, it’s like saying someone earning 200k in lekki is richer than someone earning 2000 pounds in London.

The only thing expensive in London is just rent nothing more. 100pounds would feed u properly in London for a whole month, as a single person 1k pounds can pay ur rent. 2k pounds is enough for you, and you can still save 5h pounds every month

The mistake you are making is taking all part of Nigeria to be lagos.

In places like osun, ekiti, jos ,zamfara etc how much do you think driver and maids are paid a month.

I no people who work in lagos and there salary is 25k a month especially petrol attendance.

The man exaggerated a lil bit but trust me some drivers in Nigeria earn 20k a month.

If you're a single, 2k pounds? You be odogwu. You can rent a shared apartment bills inclusive for £300 to £500. £200 is enough to feed and other minor expenses. Convert the remaining balance of £1500 to £1200 and shout hallelujah

What can £2000 after all deductions per month do for you in London? Bro, you definitely can't save anything.!! If you are a family of 3, its almost hopeless!!!
SoNature:
Allen Onyema, I understand that Nigeria has blessed you so much and you will say anything to defend the country.

However, don't get into an argument or make statements you cannot defend. You don't live in the UK. £2k can do a lot more in the UK than what #2k can do in Nigeria.

Why do you need to convert? I think this is why most disaporans are happy whenever the naira depreciates but they are only being smart-by-half.
