People who are even giving credence to his claim are some of the most delusional lots I've seen. Look how much one spends on just feeding alone. Or aren't these people being affected by inflation? No Nigerian that resides in a first world country would ever agree to this. It's always the ones who've never even been to Ghana that would agree to such bunkum. 4 Likes 1 Share |

erico2k2: Lol...Mogadishu go take offense for that your comment o. Anyways let's get back to real issues. To truly understand the weight of a persons argument, a reasonable level of context has to be provided. If sure with more context, Mr Onyema's argument might find more people to agree. A fact which I believe Mr Onyema can't refute though is that being in the UK legitimately and hustling diligently will provide more dividends in the long run than being in Nigeria. That is irrefutable at least as of today 1 Like |

Timoleon:are this people family men? How are u sure that is the only hustle they are doing? Let's do the calculation. If u earn 200k in a year u will have 2.4m. Tell me if 2.4m can buy a car if u a car in Nigeria and that is if u save ur entire salary. Because they have a car or they are building houses doesn't automatically mean it is that 200k that is covering everything. |

Smartguyboy:Its even worse in Nigeria, at least you said someone, but in Nigeria its a group of people running around with machete slicing people into halves like ram you are talking about fake watch, in Nigeria they do not even have the time or the mechanism to check if its fake or not, the rob you point blank even when you are in motion or in your own home. Have you not seen or heard of people who were in traffic waiting being rubbed broad day light?Stop comparing 1st world with Nigeria they are not same on any level. Both have their own ills but 9ja is on steroids. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

Blacklion3: He mentioned London and in London a bedroom flat goes for 1300 to 1500 pounds per month . Before you remove tax, bills etc. He might be right to some extent. It's just that the APC has destroyed the value of the naira. Honestly if u earn 400k per month in a business or work I see no reason why u should Japa. 1 Like |

Stephench: Most people arguing that Mr Allen is right have never set foot outside the country before, talkless of leaving their states. That 200k can not be compared to 2000k pounds on any level, even without talking about the atmosphere and working conditions of both countries. Why would anyone honestly even compare those figures 4 Likes 1 Share |

Blacklion3: He made mention of London where houses go for 1200 to 1800 per month. By the time u remove bills, etc you are left with penny. To me if one earn 400k monthly in Naija through business or work then that person has no businesses to Japa. |

VeeVeeMyLuv: Chief, don't mention shoes and clothes in this equation. If you have 200k, go to second hand shop. That's common sense. Only spend on necessities like children food, school fees, house rent etc. Salary and wage can never change just like that. If they do that, they will sink the country in heavy inflation What will be the new minimum wage? 1million naira? In my opinion, minimum wage should be scrapped Let them pay people per hour instead. I think the minimum wage experiment in Nigeria has failed woefully. Very hardworking people get paid the same as ghost workers. In school, I knew two guys from Taraba that collected salary even before the govt workers because their pops dem dey house of assembly. 1 Like |
