The problem is that you are conflating the morality of it with the facts. If 37k sustains you for 2 weeks, 80k would probably sustain you for four weeks. 200k would definitely allow you to save. I bet even with 37k, you aren't homeless. 200k can do much more for you.

Should you however settle for 200k!? NO. There's more to be gotten and one must never settle for a finite source as problems/expenses are infinite.

Beautifully composed nonsense

People who are even giving credence to his claim are some of the most delusional lots I've seen. Look how much one spends on just feeding alone. Or aren't these people being affected by inflation?

No Nigerian that resides in a first world country would ever agree to this.

It's always the ones who've never even been to Ghana that would agree to such bunkum.

many are mad, few are roaming.

Driver - at least 60k salary
Maid - at least 50k salary
one Other domestic staff - at least 50k
Oga boss balance after above expenses- 40k

So oga boss is left with 40k to feed himself and fuel his car for that month? Allen must have just received a Mouth Gig before going on air. His brain never calibrate.

With £2k monthly salary in UK, you can’t afford to hire a driver, maid or any domestic staff.

A fact which I believe Mr Onyema can't refute though is that being in the UK legitimately and hustling diligently will provide more dividends in the long run than being in Nigeria. That is irrefutable at least as of today

Please help me with this question with sincerity.

Are there people in Nigeria who earn less than 200k monthly and own a car. Be sincere with the answer. I personally know a few of them. Some of them are currently building their personal houses little by little from their 200k.
are this people family men? How are u sure that is the only hustle they are doing? Let's do the calculation. If u earn 200k in a year u will have 2.4m. Tell me if 2.4m can buy a car if u a car in Nigeria and that is if u save ur entire salary. Because they have a car or they are building houses doesn't automatically mean it is that 200k that is covering everything.

This is the kind of lies the rich tells the poor so that the poor can remain contended with their circumstances.

Oga Allen I will rather earn that 2000 pounds than earn 200k naira.

Wait sef, where is the job offering 200k in Nigeria?
I earn 37k and it lasts just 2weeks.

He mentioned London and in London a bedroom flat goes for 1300 to 1500 pounds per month .
Before you remove tax, bills etc.
He might be right to some extent. It's just that the APC has destroyed the value of the naira.

Honestly if u earn 400k per month in a business or work I see no reason why u should Japa.

That 200k can not be compared to 2000k pounds on any level, even without talking about the atmosphere and working conditions of both countries.

Why would anyone honestly even compare those figures

He made mention of London where houses go for 1200 to 1800 per month. By the time u remove bills, etc you are left with penny.

To me if one earn 400k monthly in Naija through business or work then that person has no businesses to Japa.

There's absolutely nothing to defend there,
First that 2k pounds is actually minimum wage over there.

While this 200k here that is far higher than our minimum wage (30k) is Close to big boy salary.

He is supposed to be comparing minimum wage by minimum wage.

This oga is talking and thinking like these cruel evil and wicked govt.

Quality and standard of life have generally reduced compared to years gone by.

Healthcare cost skyrocketed. It is a very very dangerous thing to fall sick in Nigeria now.

A good shoe now is close to 40k, jeans, trouser, shirt all flying towards 10k. New suit 35k. If You remove all these from the 200k wetin go remain? Full tank fuel nearly 40k!

I expected to see serious nationwide protests by now, but to my greatest amazement, people have decided to remain silent and smiling in their consolidated reinforced suffering.

Many things in Nigeria that used to be 50, 100, and 200 naira are now 500 naira or 1000 naira! By the time you do many of these payments in a month how much will remain in the 200k?

Now these guys are dragging their feet to implement new salary scale since last year. Mind you for over 10 years now salary and wages has not changed.

Chief, don't mention shoes and clothes in this equation.

If you have 200k, go to second hand shop. That's common sense.

Only spend on necessities like children food, school fees, house rent etc.

Salary and wage can never change just like that. If they do that, they will sink the country in heavy inflation

What will be the new minimum wage? 1million naira?

In my opinion, minimum wage should be scrapped

Let them pay people per hour instead. I think the minimum wage experiment in Nigeria has failed woefully.

Very hardworking people get paid the same as ghost workers. In school, I knew two guys from Taraba that collected salary even before the govt workers because their pops dem dey house of assembly.
