aieromon:power is not cheap, but what the f**k is the minimum wage at those countries? They can easily pay for power without feeling a thing. It will take a house earning 50k over 3 months to pay for 1 month of electricity. If Nigerians no protest these nonsense, na dem know. My visa is already out. 26 Likes 1 Share |

Yes I am, I spend 180k daily on diesel to run my factory. People complaining like there won't be metres. Average person don't consume much power as they have fewer appliances. An average man needs power for empowerment not leisure. 1 Like |

aieromon:Haba bros, the fact you and I can chest the increments doesn't mean it should be ok with everyone else. Just imagine several small scale businesses folding up cos they can't afford to run their business with this spike electricity tariff. Take a small scale barber shop for example, that gets patronage from an average of 7 customers per day charging N1000 per cut His take home before expenses N217,000 Subtract N178,000 from that amount and tell me if he is running a business or just wasting his time. Same can be said about several small and medium scale manufacturing and service based businesses in Nigeria, which makes bulk of our employed population. I HAVE NEVER SEEN A COUNTRY THAT DOES NOT SUBSIDIZE A THING OR TWO FOR HER CITIZENS, JUST TO HELP REDUCE THE GAP BETWEEN THE HAVES AND HAVE NOT. 21 Likes 4 Shares |

aieromon: Power shouldn't be cheap... Matter of fact, nothing should be subsidized any more. However, why is the minimum wage still paltry?!! Why are the citizens accepting a 'subsidized' minimum wage??! In nations where people pay well above for amenities like gas and electricity, do they earn as low as Nigerians??! Do they live in insecurity??! Do they have widespread corruption in every sector of their nations??! It's always convenient to make comparisons on somethings to justify poor leadership in Nigeria, but none of you ever compare the other parameters. 17 Likes 4 Shares |
