Gov. SIM thought the 100k he gave us as christmas bonus which always ringing bell, has not finished, that is why he has refused to pay workers the 35k wage aware abi?

No visit, no promise, and no action. Until teachers pays solidarity visit to the governor, then he will do more. From the look of things, palliative may not come, since Mr governor stated when he was talking to local government employees who paid him visit, that implementation of existing minimum wage, and implementation of promotion which will start this month's is to caution the effect of economic hardship. (Meaning that the minimum wage and promotion is to caution the effect of hardship).
We need to pay thank you visit to him, and informed him that hardship has overtaken the promotional added money, that palliative is important to us now, while we wait for new minimum wage. Let us hope for new minimum wage by month of May (next month).

Where are those that opened teachers account and people paid into that account

Where are those that hired lawyers with teachers money and on behalf of the teachers and with the Teacher's money.

They are still soliciting for funds. Asking more teachers to pay 1k for them to be added to the main group.. The good news is that anything the government does will go round whether you belong to a group or not.

Rivers State is no paying any worker 30k minimum wage, nyesom. Wike added 10k or so across board, that was not minimum wage at all. TUC NLC AND GOVERNMENT has not agreed on the minimum wage how are we going to be expecting to be paid by next month may?

MINIMUM WAGE COMMITTEE TO RECONVENE MID-APRIL

The 37-member tripartite committee on minimum wage set up by the Federal Government will reconvene mid-April to continue further negotiations and consultations on the new minimum wage expected to be announced by President Bola Tinubu on May 1, 2024.

The committee had received the reports of zonal public hearings held across the six geo-political zones of the country between Wednesday, March 27, 2024 and Thursday, March 28, 2024.

The minimum wage to be unveiled is expected to cushion the effects of the removal of subsidy on Premium Motor Spirit.

During the public hearings, different zones had suggested different amounts for minimum wage.

The South West zone had suggested N794,000; the North East proposed N560,000 as minimum wage; North West proposed N485,000; the North Central proposed N709,000; South South demanded N850,000 while the South East demanded N540,000.

MY TAKE: They should work out the average of the above proposals and make it the bench mark. My opinion.

Got a message from my school to come for SIGNING/FILLING OF INCREMENT FORM.

Initially that was what our principal told us but she has called us to come and fill for all staff. So reconfirm

Increment is per annum and is for every staff, then the third year promotion. Our last promotion stopped at 2022. Meaning additional step will be added for 2023, and another one for 2024, then in 2025 being the third year another promotion will take place.
