Kennie28: In the german grading system, 1 is the best grade and 5 is the worst. So 2.3 is better than 3. You should be fine. 2 Likes |

Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by heeedreeez: 8:24am On Apr 07 |
Kennie28: It simply means you are higher than the cut off cgpa in german grading scale. It is like a direct opposite of the nigerian grading scale. 5.0 is the gighest cgpa in nigeria but in germany it is the reversed. 1.0 is the highest grading scale in germany. 1 Like |

Kennie28: Your 2.3 should be fine. In Germany, the highest CGPA is 1 and the lowest is 5. |

Kennie28: First of all U can't have 2.3 with 3.17 unless ur grading system in ur university is 4.0 not 5.0 And also u can apply for bsc |

Good evening please is there a format for writing CV for admission in Germany and also i have two neco certificate from two different years and i really don't know how to include them in the CV |
Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by Immacharles: 9:36pm On Apr 07 |
For the CV, some schools require EUROPASS CV others want it in a tabular format, which is the CV format in Germany . Just research on the school or you can write to them concerning the cv format to use if it's not stated on their website. Zebulun1: |

WpressBeginner: You do not have enough detail to calculate their vpd grade. it is not only dependent on whether it is 4.0 or 5.0 but also on other factors like the minimum passing grade in their university which I doubt you already know except you schooled there. |

Hi, My cousin started their visa process in September 2021. Applied for an appointment date in September 2021 and got an AD in September 2022, went for interview and it was good and was given 2 weeks to a month to open blocked acct. The fee was 10,000 something at the time of interview and she was told that although the fee would be changing in January to 11,000 something but it won't affect her since she has already opened a blocked account in September. She sent her blocked acct proof and it was acknowledged. She didn't hear anything until a courier called with a letter to deliver In February 2023, the letter read that the visa was rejected because the money in the blocked account was not up to 11,000 (she was told not to worry that's why she left it at 10,000) they said she could appeal after completing the money no later than a month from when the letter was delivered (march). She completed the money in the blocked and sent the proof to the embassy and it was acknowledged by email from them She didn't hear anything until almost December 2023, and all they asked for was Admissions letter which was sent immediately and it was acknowledged immediately This is April and she has still not heard anything and its starting to get frustrating for her and she doesn't know what to do anymore The blocked account has been sitting since September 2022 She did her studenkolleg online in 2021also 1 Like |

Good day everyone, My sister referred this page to me, I’m an international student who applied for a visa in Germany (where my school is) august last year, since then I’ve started online lessons with the school while waiting for the visa but earlier this year i had to end it because some of the courses i had to take had no option for virtual learning . The School granted me a leave of absence to get my visa ready, then arrive in fall for the continuation of my studies; 3 months since the LoA was granted I haven’t still received any info from the German Consulate. Please does anyone have any idea how to speed up the process, if it’s even possible to go neighboring African countries for the visa process. Thanks and God bless. |

Good morning ladies and gentlemen. A friend applied for family reunion visa last year but could no longer have access to the email she used for the visa registration. All effort to recover the email proved abortive. Is there any way she can change the email of registration to a new email? Please she needs help. |
Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by Kizzygentle: 8:48am On Apr 10 |
opy002:Let her send a mail to the embassy to the effect and put the new one she wishes to use. The embassy will adjust it for her. It happened to me when I used yahoomail.com instead of yahoo.com and they rectified it for me. All I did was send them a mail. Hope it helps ... 2 Likes |

Good morning everyone. Does block account apply to those under category A? For someone who graduated last year with first class, are there fully funded scholarship programs for Msc in Social sciences? If there are, what are the procedures and when is the right time/place to apply. |

Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by 22ndAries: 2:17pm On Apr 11 |
User321: I booked my first application September 2023, I then cancelled and rebooked on December 2023 because the school instructed that after 3 months I should re-apply because the German consulate refreshes the applications every 3 months. Please can you explain the process of carrying out the visa process in a neighboring African country. |
Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by Ginugo: 3:47pm On Apr 11 |
Redcup: As long as you don't have scholarship or any funding, you need block account regardless of the category. There are scholarships to apply to as long as your degree is not more than six years. Check with DAAD, they have a lot of scholarships |

Kennie28: If your cgpa was 3.1, 3.5, 4, 5 you won't get but since it's 3 and below, you re qualified. |
