I bought my Econet sim pack around 22k that was 2002 when I came to Nigeria on holiday.

Those days were very tough. It's even worse when you're targeting one min and the thing now enters 1:200 they'll be like it's 2 mins and you'll be begging them it just 2 secons on top but some wicked operators will want you to pay for 2 mins. Chai mumu era. .

My happiness then was I was working as a secretary then and so had access to landline that I used in calling anywhere throughout the day.
Then we had VGC landline network and it was very fast. I'll be on phone for hours, alhaji will come back and pay the bills. .. . alhaji was my chairman o.

Now I can make calls for hours on mobile. No shaking. It can only get better.

from then if you make call for even 1:1secs, you go pay me #40, And I usually vex for those that will be making long calls,

It was credit sells that spoil the biz for me

Yes you are right, I First start with Starcomms, it's was the lady who sold recharge cards to me for resells that advice me, and help me with Airtel, that's when I started making good profit,

naso I start to go out for hustle in the morning, from 6pm in the evening, my table, chairs and umbrella are out for biz,

omo I enjoy those days

Those day when making phone calls you will be looking at the clock at the same time and be calculating the minutes. It was 25 naira per minutes and that money was very big then.

Mtn was doing per minute billing. If you must flash someone you must be very good at it because once they pick it and you quickly cut it. Mtn would still charge you per minutes. So even when you have nothing to say again you will just be on the phone exhausting it and end call 59 seconds.

A US dollar was less than 100 then. And Nigeria still had purchasing power to dollar ratio. Until APC came destroyed everything.

it was 20 naira tho. And dollar was #150

hmmmm. 2004 MTN had already reduced prices of SIM to like 20k then by 2005 it dropped to N1,800. The SIM I am using is from 2005.
