I will prefer dating or marrying someone I am two or three years older than...
Maturity and ability to Understand is the main thing.

Why would you as a man. As a man, If you have good posture couple with good diet, 4years gap is even too small.

it depends on what the lady seeks in a partner. Some/most seeks maturity or money and others just want compatibility, fun and vibes maybe until reality sets in.

Date, sex, marriage… always on dem mind while waiting on government to “innovate” for them. Same mindset that led to rampant dads & uncles with one wife and six on-your-own children, three secret baby mamas, tough life of survival day to day, blaming government while hoping on one of the untrained kids to hit some jackpot, legit or not. Well that is true.
Unfortunately, the commonality also extends into the trousers.
The woman will start wearing the same trouser with you. And many men do not like that kind of competition.
So most times, men go for younger women whom they have very few things in common with initially,

Most guys of 20 to 30yrs in Nigeria are still struggling to stand financially.


19 to 24 are probably in school or learning a trade or something, may not have the mental and psychological maturity to go into a committed relationship with his mate.


But a girl of 20 to 27yrs is mature and ready for relationship or even marriage because much is not expected from her financially compared to the expectation she and the society expects from a guy of her age.


Most ladies that dated their mates ended up regretting cos when it was time to commit or tie the knot, the guy will remember that she is old, she wont respect him cos of their equal age bla bla bla.

The fact that you went to school and same class with a guy does not mean he is ready or prepared to marry you.
Your partner is 5, 10 or 20 years much older than you and will support you better in this Nigeria.
