Eye don't see any issue here. Except for the lack of chemistry. What generally attracted you to her? If there was something that made her appealing to you, those other complaints of yours are small. But if you married her just because she was available, and you wanted to settle down anyway... then...


But if you have the tiniest bit of attraction to her, then just see as her as you would an ordinary, but close friend -that you're just getting to know-. She also doesn't have to know everything you know to have a conversation with you...if she's attracted to you as well, you can be content with speaking and wowing her, and she listens to you admiringly.


I believe everyone is interestingly unique, and you just have to find (common) ways to connect with them. Even if you had chosen your pick of classy, sophisticated city girl, it is not possible that you two will ever be alike.


She's your wife now, and you should be committed to her (betterment). Invest in her. Nobody was born knowing it all too. Help her grow, develop herself and learn new hobbies, experiences, likes. Engage her about her own likes, is there any you can enjoy together? Is there any new ones you can build together?

If she speaks as good as you claim, I find it hard to believe she's such a "lost cause" as you are trying to paint. Where/how did she learn to speak good English? From academic books? Novels? Her environment? Or through self-commitment? In any case, it is still a positive trait/worthy value in my book.

Everyone is also self-indulgent to different extent. Have you taken her out and she told you she hates fun? Or tried to do something fun with her indoors?

Is there anything she does for you at all as your wife? How does she express her own love? Because you're so hung up on your own interests that she seemingly doesn't share, while ignoring the other ways in which she might be showing she likes you. Buy her gifts. Take her to places. Introduce her to new (moral) people - this is assuming you're one yourself. Watch movies. Playfight.
