I manage children with sickle cell disease and all of them are doing quite well on their routine meds. Like many have posited, sickle cell is not a death sentence.

I will need to know his age, when he was first diagnosed, average frequency of blood transfusions, pain and hospital admissions in a year. Any existing complications like stroke, bone abnormality. And most IMPORTANTLY, the routine medications he has been on.
