That same guy called me too with same tactics when I was still doing business in Awka, but I went ballistic on the criminal Odo, Op the scammer is always claiming to be from Enugu Ezike, and don't be surprised it's someone close to you that is feeding him with the information, in fact in one of the calls, he called my then girlfriend's name, the moment I unravelled his real name with my tech skill, blasted him on call and told him to prepare that we are coming for him, he stopped calling. I wonder why he has not been arrested yet. Op do well to drop his number on the thread let me pull out his real name for you.

Good day Nairalanders.

I hope we all are good and coping with the economy?

Please, as usual is advice time. This story happened to me just yesterday night (around after 11pm).

I got a call from a number that isn't in my contact list around after 11pm, as I picked up I remained silent until the person called my first name, I now responded and asked who he was.

He spoke in an uncommon native Igbo tongue and started asking me what I have done wrong that someone will bring my picture with my full name all the way to Enugu for him to perform a ritual that will see me either suffer stroke or be involved in an accident.

I remained silent and after he was done talking and directing the question to me, I asked he come again as I didn't get what he said the first time. He then responded and said in the same uncommon Igbo native tongue that is my ear blocked that I couldn't get him the first time, he then proceeded to saying exactly the same thing again while referring me with my surname now, but this time as he spoke I began hearing shrine-like music instrument sounds. It was at this point I ended the call. He called again and I didn't pick up.

This morning I downloaded Truecaller to figure who the person that called me was, as I couldn't find his number on WhatsApp or anywhere online. True caller identified his name as "Chief John Odoh".

Figuring his name made my curiosity grow because I have initially brushed off the call as probably from a scammer looking to use emotional control on me.

What could this really be? I don't owe anyone or feel I am at loggerheads with anyone. I don't wish anyone bad. What could this be?

Please someone help me break this down. Thank you.
Call the person back ask him question, involve an elder or your parents

@Ausxtan an herbalist will not call you at that time of the night. It is a scam and someone close to you is involved.

Factcheck0001:
oga na scam n don't fall for it

No dibia will call u before doing bad to u, just lock up cos last last them go tell u say make u pay n once u pay like this ehn u go continue to dey pay b dat
No bro. If someone report you to a shrine the priest that head the shrine won't just carry out whatever the person asked him to do to you. He will first call you to hear your own version of the matter then determine whether to invite you to come and defend yourself before the shrine or leave you be. No priest in any shrine will carry out judgment on any matter reported to a shrine without inviting the person reported , because they know that it could lead to the death of the person. So they confirm and verifies very well before acting. But this very one this op said here is 98% scam. I'm sure of it.
