however I feel for those born with s.s gene, and hope sometime, it will be reversed. With good feeding regime, multi vitamins, and blood drinks. fruits, like shawashop, water melons, grains yoghurt, vegetables/okra, eggs, chicken,milk and beverages and sufficient rest, they will still live healthy lives like every other person. I feel hurt using stating they may not exceed 30. I have an s/s very close friend. If I deny him anything at all, then it excludes everything he asks of that he wants and needs inside his body.

i stand to be corrected there are more severe complications than this genotype thing , so to child clinic in most federal medical centres you go tire , some kids are born blind , deaf it takes the grace of GOD TO HAVE A HEALTHY CHILD

My son is hale and healthy. He's 2yrs plus. My wife is doing great too. I make sure she doesn't involve herself in anything stressful. We have someone helping with the baby. She knows how to look after herself, folic acid, paludrin, bitco, fruits and when needed antibiotics

Never . You can't have SS kids . The thing is be prepared for the challenges that comes with her health issues .is not always easy to deal with .

As long as you can carry the bills of sickle cell and also deal with the emotional trauma and delicate nature of her health.
