Good day house pls I need advice for my family friend who is here in the UK with her husband, she needs help from us/ advice/ suggestions. The home office has written to them to leave the UK, because their student route was not successful after the hubby failed on several occasions. Before their visa expired this year January, the lady tried looking for sponsorship, unfortunately she did not get, so a lawyer adviced they apply for PSW on the ground that her hubby will repeat and pass the exams, which they quickly did, but he failed it again and home office refused the application. We are so confused now. They are now overstayers. She is trying to seek asylum. please have anybody gone through this process OR you know any one that has gone through this asylum. Some pple advised to seek asylum in Ireland. Can anybody help us with a good lawyer that can assist. She doesn't have a job now. Going back home is not the best solution now. pls help we are confused now. Not easy on them. Thank u. |

Hello everyone, please my spouse recently submitted here spouse visa application and the staffs at VFS Abuja centre didn’t collect her marriage and birth certificates, they said it’s only the photocopies they want. But it’s clearly stated on the Irish immigration site that original certificates should be submitted. Please is this the new process now ![]() Who submitted recently please?? |

Hello, I submitted mine in June this year and that was the procedure used. I was surprised because of the information on the Irish Immigrant website. However, I confirmed from two other staff at VFS that collection of coloured photocopies of original documents such as certificates, is the new procedure. Evraunited: |

To God be all the Glory! My Join Family visa has just been approved. I submitted my application in the first week of June 2024 and received my passport on 9th January 2025. It took about 7 months. I pray for a successful outcome for everyone who is still waiting. Remain hopeful. |

Friendindeed:Wow! Congratulations to you. I am so happy for you. Is the work permit of your sponsor a general or critical work permit |

Hello everyone! Has anyone been using the online tracking system for their JFV? I initially used to get the response that my processed application has been received by the Irish Embassy. However, for some weeks now whenever I try to track online, after putting my reference number and date of birth, the response is “invalid inputs”. I’ve tried different devices and browsers, cleared my cache, but still same response. Is anyone facing the same issue? |

Hello everyone, hope we’re all doing fine. Has anyone who submitted for join family application around October / November 2024 received feedback yet? |
| Re: Irish Join Family Visa Enquiries Part 0 by Ghost911: 6:52pm On Apr 13, 2025 |
I submitted around September and I am yet to hear from the embassy. Probably the move to the new location is delaying the process. |
| Re: Irish Join Family Visa Enquiries Part 0 by Doti: 6:47am On Apr 14, 2025 |
Ghost911:Oh really, they have not yet gotten to September applications. Please update the forum if you hear anything. Thanks. |

| Re: Irish Join Family Visa Enquiries Part 0 by PB20: 11:24am On Apr 23, 2025 |
My wife submitted in October. Hers is not in that of today. Is there anyone who submitted in August/September 2024 that has received an update? |
| Re: Irish Join Family Visa Enquiries Part 0 by Doti: 11:42am On Apr 23, 2025 |
PB20:Thanks for the update @PB20. It’s disheartening to hear that they probably haven’t started processing October applications yet. My wife submitted in early November, the waiting continues! |

Thanks guys, kindly let’s make this page lively again, by updating any relevant information. My spouse applied late December 2024 ( Stamp 4 holder after CSEP)….The waiting continues |
| Re: Irish Join Family Visa Enquiries Part 0 by Doti: 7:05pm On Apr 24, 2025 |
Evraunited:Thanks @Evraunited. I agree with you that the page is kind of quiet, so let’s try and keep it a bit lively. Between yourself, myself and @PB20; we could give an update on a weekly basis, perhaps after the release of weekly decision report by the embassy. What do you think? |
| Re: Irish Join Family Visa Enquiries Part 0 by Evraunited: 4:33am On Apr 25, 2025 |
Doti:Yes no problem about that, will definitely update the forum if anything comes up regarding my spouse application. Thanks |

Should we move to WhatsApp or telegram? It seems easier to get people's attention there |
