Mryacks:No mind them. The funniest thing is that it's the unhappy ones in marriage always hurrying people with advice up and down about getting married, painting marriage as if it's a big deal and an institution full of bed of roses🤣 |

Manculated:You don't have to be a deadbeat parent because your gf has a child for you. You take care of your child and have a financial agreement with your gf without the burden of marriage. |

Samantha125:Oh nice, i see girls having this mindset as the lazy ones. What makes a man better at making money than a woman in this generation? |
| Re: Time To Settle Down by Samantha125(f): 5:44pm On Jun 07, 2025 |
If you have issues with women, then just stay away from them and be single, no one is forcing you to be in a relationship or to get married... Enjoy your money alone as a single man. optm: |

When you see people calling you 'egbon', big bro and they are bending down to greet you that means you are off market for street doing. So settle down to fit in the married phase which is next after street. |

emmaodet:I support women in earning their own money, as it brings them respect and dignity. Men, by default, have to earn money whether they like it or not. To be clear, though, I have always espoused sexual liberation, but with caution. The issue of sex to.ys is that as women who can stay off sex for a long time, have their own money, it makes the sexual use of men in their lives to be unimportant, aka useless. So, yes, women earning their own money kinda of makes the usefulness of men in their lives nonexistent. It is why modern-day women have much higher sieving standards for men these days, unlike, say, the 1980s and 1990s. Then, somehow you are worried the same men shouldn't go the babymama way because kids raised under this condition are mostly social misfit and such men are dead-beat dads.Yes, because if one is to have properly raised children, the chances are higher in a two-parent household than otherwise. This is a global phenomenon. Fun fact: when I was much younger, I entertained the idea of baby-mama largely because of pop culture (Tuface na eim cause this thing), but after reading numerous scientific studies and articles and comparing the results, I realised that the two-parent household is the best setting to have a family. Even within my immediate family, there is a stark difference between families who have a father figure and those without one. In my opinion, it is much better to remain child-free or not marry at all than indulge in baby-mama and baby-papa. See the recent news from Port-harcourt where a baby-mama frolicks with seven other men other than her baby-daddy, who has four other baby mamas. Recently, I was reading about crime rates in the Caribbean islands and came to realise that Jamaica has a high crime rate, way higher than other Caribbean nations. The unifying reason amongst the commentators is: fatherless homes. Children, especially males, who grew up without fathers or a father figure. So the effects of baby-daddy go beyond the family and spill into the society. It is the reason I support polygamy, as it provides a father figure for children who otherwise would lack one. Both genders (male and female) are needed to raise children. Let me tell you a truth - The moment we accept women sexual liberation aka women can be shameless without been judged, the "dead-beat dad" statement too goes out of the window. You made strong points here. I think the solution would be to dial down on the sexual liberty for women and promote sexual chastity so that men are made to realise its importance. A situation where men can get the milk for free without owning the cow or tending to the ranch means cows wouldn't be well taken care of or regarded in the grand scheme of things, because hey, the milk is free. The court systems towards men, too, have to be reworked to make things much fairer. The problem, however, is that women have "tasted freedom", which would be hard to collect. The birth control and education are the greatest weapons they have. It gives them so much power. Na why birth rates dey fall everywhere aside Africa. I have thought about a severe and widespread economic depression (men by nature can withstand such conditions), but those weapons will always make women resist a return to the '50s. The men of olden days were not just responsible (this is debated anyway), ready to die for their women and fight for the village to protect their women and kids. The bold reminds me of a reddit thread (r/Singapore) where the young males stated that they won't fight for their women should Singapore face a war, after all, women are equal to men. They argue that since women say they are equal to men in job requirements, housing, education et al., then they (women) should be equal in going to war. P.S. Singaporean males have to participate in a compulsory military exercise for two years, while the females don't have to. So, each man has offered two years to the country, yet the birth rate in Singapore is below 1 TFR. So, what are women offering the country despite all the education, freedom, safety, money and economic opportunities men offered them? Every day I think through these topics, I realise why God and his prophets in the Bible did what they did. |

Gerrard59:This is quite an interesting perspective from Singapore men and I hope that they will successfully advocate for their women to fight for the country as well. Do you think that is why Israel population growth is different from that of Singapore and other developed countries- women being as involved in fighting for the country, as the men? Every day I think through these topics, I realise why God and his prophets in the Bible did what they did.Can you please explain further on this. |

So unfortunate that it has gotten to the point where naija men have to embark on a trip to other countries to look for wife, what happened to our culture? why are our girls so uncultured and mannerless? I'm so worried for the future, we are fast losing all we've got on the altar of modernism. Rexnegro: |

Nnamdipapa:No be lie bro na why most of them dey bald quick and greyy so fast! As a single man you have so much time to plan your life save money like a ba$tard and take dangerous business risk that if it pays off, you are set. As a man you can't afford to take some kind risk cos the bills keep pilling every now and then. |

zanshi:I will give the whole world to be single again. People don't know how good they have it and we have been programmed by society to believe we have to marry or bring other people into our lives. If I do it again, I will have a baby mama of one child and live alone. |
