This is no joke oh, if a guy decides to do some urgent upgrades like new phone and clothes. That type of upgrades happens once’s in a while not that the guy gave so much but just decided it’s time to get away with some old outdated things in his life. To worst it all He might change something’s in his house like electronic and furniture.

Then boom his girlfriend enters his house and saw the upgrades. Many things begin to go through her mind. So this guy have money to do all this things while I’m suffering still using my old phone. Before you know it bitterness set in. Serious problem just started and She stop taking the guy calls. This kind of attitude is fueled by entitlement mentality. It’s not just only girlfriends. It also happens with friends and family members.

Very true, I experienced it first hand.
I lost my smart phone and had to manage my sisters Samsung tab for like 6 months while saving to get a new phone. Finally got myself a Samsung J4 on my birthday.
My girlfriend visited that evening and was visibly angry. After she left the next morning that was our en she stopped reaching out I returned the favour. Don't need no haters disguised as lovers.

It’s just one of the reasons. The major reason is that she knows when you have money, other girls will snatch you from her. Believe it or not girls like as their partners are poor.

Women have entitlement mentality.... they feel ones they are dating u, u must take care of all their needs , u must pay for dates and u must pay for their transportation .... reason men are now asking what thy even benefit in relationships

Well, everything the OP said is nothing but the truth.

I don't know the kind of girls you all are meeting though. I have dated girls, we didn't obviously marry but I have not experienced my girlfriend at any time being angry or jealous because I upgraded.

My current girlfriend is a student in Lafia, when my phone was stolen, she was worried for me, when I got another one she was so happy that I would be back online. When her phone spoilt, she returned home to get another phone from her Dad. She didn't even mention it to me.

My ex was happy whenever I added to my wardrobe, or get something new.

Are Nigerian girls this bad or you guys are just writing these things online? Which girl will get angry cause her boyfriend upgraded himself? Isnt that witchcraft?

There are was a time a changed my phone. My them girlfriend rushed to change hers to a bigger version like say we Dey compete😂


When I told her I wanted to get an iPhone 16 she use one dirty eye look me.

Anytime I go out to chill with my guys, or she knows about anything progressive going on in my life, it pisses her off.

The reality is 90% of Nigeria ladies are like this in one form or the other I will advise you date and marry strategically ,stop dating jobless , unambitious ladies there are things you don't overlook during courtship.Most of them see dating as palliative.it is not your duty to buy phone for your girlfriend any girl that cannot buy data by herself is not suppose to date.

It's true,my girl lost her phone nd I got a not too great android phone for her to be using for the main time,then my samsung developed lines on the screen then I bought another one and she was very angry.
Reason I didn't buy her a good smart phone was cox I recently gave her one of my laptop
,but still she was annoyed I got a phone.

Once upon a time the bulk of this forum was broadians, aje butters and workers in good companies.

Then these views were outliers. Today the bulk of the users are POOR Nigerians whose brains have been permanently fked into transactional, zero sum mentality.

In a relationship where the focus of each party is how to maximise the chopping while minimizing investment, this is what will happen.

Fortunately it is not YOUR reality.
