Maybe their parents spoilt them... So far, most of the first male borns that I know are very useful to their siblings, they do chores, help their siblings with their studies, and financially support them where necessary.

And two of my nephews who are first borns started cooking at the age of 13.

For the fact that you experienced the uselessness of elder brothers in your family firsthand doesn't give you the yardstick to appropriate figures carelessly.
Lost our parents early our elder brother stood firmly and trained all of using the proceeds of our late parents house rent, and his menial hustle pay. Till date that property is still not shared among us, everybody takes turn in rent collection like osusu.
Do you even know the pressure that comes with being an elder brother?

First born male can be easily derailed with responsibilities early in life especially for poor and middle income families..cos they either build themselves to escape poverty and neglect home or forget to build themselves begin taking responsibilities only for them to hit a little challenge and then begin the final decline where they can no longer support anybody or themselves. At that point they begin hearing wat did u do for me when u had money..they failed to build themselves when they had money...a first born male might end up sacrificing his life for his family if care is not taken.
