MetalJigsaw:My question was specific. I was not asking for the role of the Father son and holy spirit. You claimed here that the father has more authority than the son. The question is simple. What Authorities does the father have that the son does not have? Kindly list it here. @Your second question its impossible for creatures to acquire God's attributes or essential requirements, if that what you're trying to communicate. I thought I gave a vers though. What you explained earlier was humans partaking of God's nature by imitating God's character such as love, holiness and goodness. This is one view of Trinitarians. Do you agree that 2 Peter 1:4 teaches that humans would be in union with God by participating in His divine energies, sharing in His life and Grace? |

Truthseeker10:Didn't you ask whether the son can execute the roles of the father since they all have their distinctive roles? And I answered you. Key aspects of the Father's role to Christ include: * Sender of the Son: The Father initiated the plan of salvation by sending Jesus into the world. * Source of Power and Words: Jesus stated that the Father working in him accomplished his miracles and that the words he spoke were not his own, but the Father's. He executes the father's decree. * Relationship of Love: The Father and Son are co-existent and equal, with the Father loving the Son and revealing Himself through him. * Divine Affirmation: The Father publicly affirmed Jesus during key moments, such as his baptism and transfiguration, validating his mission and ministry on earth. |

MetalJigsaw:1)Kindly look at the question again that you replied to in the screenshot below. It is simple and clear. I was not asking for you to list out roles. MetalJigsaw:Another being Jesus calls "my God,Father" (in heaven, Rev 3:2,12,) and (on earth , John 20:17,Matt 27:46) is equal with Jesus? Na wa oooooo ! You can't be equal with any being you call "my God/ Father (meaning SENIOR). |
| Re: Is Jesus God? by MetalJigsaw(m): 9:01pm On Mar 07 |
Janosky:Jeremiah 32 v 27: "Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?". Since Jesus came into the world and taking on flesh, the father becomes his God in that manner. However this doesn't diminish Christs divinity, because he shares the same divine properties with the Father and his Spirit. Is Jesus still in flesh in heaven? YES |

MedetalJigsaw:Oga, do you have more knowledge than Jesus ? No. You read Jesus said "gods" in your Bible, but you shift am to capitalize "Gods" wey no dey John 10:34-36 & Psalms 82:6 in your own Bible. AkinwaleJJ:Off Point! We are talking Mathew 28 18, you are talking 1 Corinthians... Secondly no where did I say that The Giver in Matthew 28:18 is subject to Receiver. |
| Re: Is Jesus God? by Dtruthspeaker: 9:14pm On Mar 07 |
MetalJigsaw:Seeing that Mathew 28:18 proves that Jesus is God in that God gave Him such an authority the jws are now desperately struggling to o find how they can undermine Mathew 28:18. hence all the various attempts to circumvent its implication. |

Dtruthspeaker:That's true. In Matthew 28:18 (NIV), Jesus declares, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me," marking the start of the "Great Commission". This statement establishes the resurrected Jesus as the supreme ruler over the universe, authorizing his disciples to go and make disciples of all nations. Context: These words are spoken by Jesus to his disciples on a mountain in Galilee after his resurrection. Significance: It serves as the foundation for the command to preach and teach, as the authority behind the mission is total, covering both heavenly and earthly realms |

Dtruthspeaker:Oga , you remove John 17:7 from your Bible ? Nah you convert Paul to become believer? Was king Pharoah subject to Joseph? Whoever send you go assignment or give you authority can not be your equal, nah Jesus talk am, John 13:16. |

MetalJigsaw:John 13:16 (NIV) states"Very truly I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him" John 13:16,Did Jesus obeyed his God in the spiritual realm , he left heaven to continue his obedience on the earthly realm? Yes. Jesus is a servant in heaven & earth. Jesus is not equal, not greater than God his Father . John 7:16 & John 13:16, Jesus is teaching you the knowledge he learnt in heaven. |
| Re: Is Jesus God? by Janosky: 10:21pm On Mar 07 |
MetalJigsaw:Deuteronomy 10;17, "Jehovah is the God of (His sons) gods. Jesus is the son of Jehovah the God, John 10:34-36 & John 20:17, Jesus confirm it . Therefore, Jesus is a god because God calls his sons gods. |

MetalJigsaw:So there's flesh in heaven now? Thought only spirit beings are in heaven. So who was Jesus before he came to earth? And what was the father to him before he came to the world? |
| Re: Is Jesus God? by MetalJigsaw(m): 11:23pm On Mar 07 |
cornelboy:Here is how Jesus is in heaven based on biblical descriptions: *Physically Present: Jesus did not discard his human body; he ascended with a body of "flesh and bones" that is immortal, capable of entering heaven, yet still bears the scars of his crucifixion. * Reigning as King: He is actively reigning from his throne as King of Kings and Lord of all creation. Interceding for Believers: He serves as the Great High Priest and Advocate for believers, mediating between them and God. * Preparing a Place: He is preparing a dwelling place for his followers. Visible Presence: While in heaven, he is also described as being present with believers on earth through the Holy Spirit. |

Jesus Christ is God! One had to have the Spirit of God in him in order to discern or understand the bible. Without His Spirit in us , reading and interpreting the Bible on our selves is wrong. Imams and other religions does that too But with distorted information. |

| Re: Is Jesus God? by MetalJigsaw(m): 7:19am On Mar 08 |
cornelboy:I'm glad you asked. There are many verses we can look up. Let's look at: John 1 v 1 "In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God. And the word was God" Before taking on flesh, Jesus existed eternally as the Word (Greek: Logos), a divine, uncreated spirit being who was with God and was God. As the second person of the Trinity, he existed in heaven, shared glory with the Father before the world was made, and served as the agent of creation. Key Details About Pre-Incarnate Jesus: * The Word (Logos): Described in John 1:1 as being in the beginning with God. * Divine Agent: Through him, all things were created. ( verse 4) * Eternal Glory: He possessed glory with the Father before the world existed (John 17:5). We can look up one more passage. This one is in the old testament. I find it very interesting |

cornelboy:The problem they have is arrogance so when JWs visit their homes they wants us to start arguing aimlessly wasting our precious time but then we take our leave so they feel we don't have what it takes to explain our beliefs. So when they now come to Nairaland and notice Jehovah's Witnesses chatting regarding faith they feel really troubled that how can the same people who use to run away from arguments be this active using the scriptures. They don't know that we are in our comfort zone (homes) now so we have time to teach whoever comes our way!🤣 |

| Re: Is Jesus God? by MaxInDHouse(m): 7:36am On Mar 08 |
MetalJigsaw:This verse is erroneously translated the correct rendering is: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was a god. This correlate with the beliefs of Christ's disciples in the first century. Peter quoted David saying: 'Jehovah declared to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand Until I place your enemies as a stool for your feet."' Act 234-35 compare to Psalms 110:1 So in your own Bible what you will see is: The LORD said to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.” Here Jehovah is the LORD while Jesus is the smaller Lord. Check it out in your own copy of the Bible and see what Peter believe. In fact he said: “Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Messiah.” Acts 2:36 NIV Did Peter believe that Jesus is Almighty God? NO! Rather Peter said about Jesus: , “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” Matthew 16:16 NIV |
