Nigerians think that it is when you go to school and graduate + speaking big grammar, then you are educated! Yet they are the worst illiterates and most gullible people in the world!! Lacasera is a fizzy drink which is "Highly Carbonated". The high volume of the carbonated gas in it is for preservation purposes. That's why whenever you open it, the bottle makes a loud hissing sound because that gas is being released and if you drink it, that carbon begins to have a sort of "choking effect" on both your tummy and chest areas. Some people like me even used to have serious heart-burn after taking it before i discovered a way out....
Solution: WHENEVER YOU OPEN A BOTTLE OF LACASERA, SHAKE IT THOUROUGHLY UNTIL THE YOU DON'T SEE THE FROTH OR FOAMY PART OF IT. (The process is called DECARBONIZATION) Then drink it and you'd notice that i will be as light as water or ordinary juice both in the mouth and throat.

1.apple flavour,or is it d 'concentrate'
2.caramel
3.sugar,aspartame,saccharin(not sure which one now.lol)
4.preservatives(all dis organic acids eg.sorbic acid,benzoic acid,etc)
5.water
well as a biochemist, i suspect one of d contents must be bleaching...but let me research first bfore jumping to some baseless conclusions.

A few days back while stuck in heavy traffic, on my way back from the office, in a bus, one of the passengers seated beside me called out on the drink sellers, she wanted something cold…and the seller offered her a bottle of la casera but she declined “la casera…wetin, abeg sama mi another better drink” and i was like “really” she settled for coke instead.

She began telling the passenger on her other side of how la casera drink turns her in the tummy “anytime i drink it, it turns my tummy especially when it’s not cold”..anyways, after i alighted from the bus, i got myself a bottle of the drink (though cold) and nothing happened.
Today’s incident is what baffled me.
Was at a summit and when drinks were served, many of them rejected the la casera drink, those that had it on their tables already did not touch it and when i was given mine, the lady beside me said, “stop taking it la casera, it has a bleaching substance/chemical inside…” , three other persons confirmed it.
Someone even said “I was at a seminar last week and we were specifically warned from taking the drink…if you notice, mechanics always use it to wash car engines”
Ooops!
And there I knew I just had to share it with you guys to know if you have also heard the news…and for La casera management to come out to either deny the report or explain what is going on! #okbye.

It could be true, I say this based on an experience on a trip. While travelling with my family, we bought la casera with gala and my little boy mistakingly spilled some of his drinks on the dash board, I was shocked how clean the spot became. I think the makers should explain to the public the chemical composition of the drink.

Lacasera? Hell NO, if u ask me if I'd taken poison b4, I wll say yes... And its lacasera, sweet carbonated poison I will say

Hahahah Oga me!! When u talk in public like this, always be mindful of what u say cos experts in that field maybe there. You've said well sha, but as a Food Scientist d term "Lactose Intolerant" doesn't come in here. That has got to do with Milk and Milk Products.
Now 4 those saying that Lacasera does this or that, U don't drink a highly carbonated drink empty stomach, d CO2 will surely react in ur system.
4 those that says its used to clear Rust(never seen b4 though),It's still d CO2 that works d Magic not any bleach. Lacasera contains copious quantity of CO2 for preservation.
Please my pple, Food Companies r not that much in this country, don't let ur rumours closedown d ones we have so that Food Scientists like myself go see work do...

The only question I wish to ask is dis. Have u ever sat down to ask why North korea outrightly banned these carbonated drinks including coke? 2. Have u tried taking any soft drink when not chilled as u would with water and natural juice or any home made drink? If yes, how do u find ur experience ? Is it in anyway enjoyable? 3. Have u heard of asparteme ? Do a check on it before u comment pls. 4. Finally , save and except home made or natural drinks like yogurt, soy milk , etc are much more expensive and non- adictive while chemicalised drinks are adictive and plays ur body into wanting more? Or makes u feel a day without it is a horrible worthless day? Not even energy or soda are excepted. Worthy of note though if the FDA which is a highly regulated body could be bought over by fastfoods, beverage and tobacco companies, then don't you make NAFDAC a trustee of ur well being, cos its foolish. For more inquiries, criticise constructively. But before you do this, please read more on causes of obescity in the western world, why soft drinks are adictive, FDA saga on chemicalized meat, and FDA and privatly funded researchers sage / claims on asparteme. I rest my case.

To cut the story short, give us ways by which we can do the experiment and get conclusions for ourselves . And not giving us conclusions @ poster

Dnt knw abt blaeching substance buh I knw La casera has dis addictive tin in it. If u re travelling and der re 10 passengers, 6-8 pple re likely 2 tk lacasera and odas will go 4 oda drinks. Besides, its the only beta drink wey be 100. Odas re 120 or 150. And lastly, its sooooo refreshing when cold. I love lacasera
