There was the first generation of Celestians who were not biblically versed enough to understand the beauty of CCC. That was the generation of our fathers who were raised in the missionary Anglican,Catholic,Babtist settings where the laity were spiritually spoonfed by the clergy and were not really expected to do dilligent study of the scriptures. There was the generation of our elder brothers who began to read the bible to find the scriptural basis for most of our doctrines,beliefs and activities. We thank them for their pioneer efforts cause they laid the foundation for most of what we understand and chose to remain Celestians when many of their era could not resist the allure of the Pentecostal churches that were springing up here and there. Now there is a new breed of celestians who attended sunday school from infancy and has grown up with a clear understanding of the scriptural basis for his beliefs. He knows that salvation is by grace and not by works and was made possible by the death of Christ on the cross!!! He also knows that its through the name of Jesus that we are allowed to ask from God the father and so tables his requests before Jehovah in that name. He is also aware of the role of angels as both messengers of God and himself as a child of God.Shikena!! This breed also understand the symbolic nature of the items used for some prayers and so knows that a Candle stick for instance contains no power in itself but is a merely a symbol of the light of God that dispels the darkness of Satan. He sings the unique hymns that praises the might of God,that describe his splendor,that tell him about the power in the blood of Jesus,that tell him about the powerlessnes of satan over him,that tell him to put his trust in God only and never to rely nor be afraid of any man. The hymns admonish him to desist from evil and instead be guided by the Holy Spirit. They tell him to live in peace with his neighbours and help the needy if he has the means. They tell him that in the presence of God there is fulness of joy and that the joy of the lord is his strength and so he just cannot be moody in God's house and dances without sending in humble adoration to his maker especially when he knows from those songs that the prescense of the creator of the universe is with him wherever he goes. He applies all these he has learnt and they bring him positive results and then one Pastor or member of his congregation that this Celestian has seen once or twice in his church premises when he came to inquire from God at the feet of a young prophet now tells him that his church is demonic and unblibical and barbaric. The celestial just shakes his head at an ignoramus! Please tell me something I have not heard before ojare. Celestians are demonic pitch has become stale joor. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Dhurmynick: This morning i didn't want to go to my church but my mum persuaded me into going to church with her. I gave in to her persuasion. I've been going to celestial for a few times over the years, But today was different. We started at 9a.m today due to what they call ikore (festival) they had numerous ikore today. Then it started, and it wasn't funny we pray, kneel and sing, we were indirectly and involuntarily doing frog jump, then the service got hotter, the prayers were superb then a prophet knelt down and was displaying signs of entering into the spirit, most women were dancing around her, in the blink of an eye the women's quarter scattered and i could see the prophet beating a woman mercilessly... JEEEEESUS. I've heard stories but I've never witnessed it before. This prophet was beating the woman in a manner that even Hercules would cry for her out of pity. This woman held her back and gently walked out of the church even though she is a member. The maliaka followed her outside still beating her. I once heard from my mother that the beating is to torture the badoo spirits out of a person.. Me just sit for back dey watch drama. A particular reason I hate going to celestial is bcoz of the lack of privacy. The maliaka can just drag you out and say things that are supposed to be a secret. I have to admit, I was scared when she was coming my way with the broom, then she dropped it and picked up a thick stick. Then she did 180 degrees and went back.. the service was one of the best I've had. Have you had any similar experience.no matter the service ,harvest or no harvest service starts by 10am 1 Like |

Many people believe so much in seer/prophets, most of which read your psychology to tell you what you already know. And whatever the prophet (real or fake) tells them is what they believe. The law of life is that you get what you deserve. If you're waiting for a place where the prophet who stopped at primary school level will predict the course you'll study in the university for you, you're in big shit. My advice for everyone is that deserve the sincere milk of the word of God that you may grow spiritually. The word of God is inexhaustible prophesy. Hold on to it, and see results. 1 Like |

I am a Celestian but find time to attend you Pentecostal churches from time to time and really, I don't see how you are better Christians. I have friends that attend these churches too and they are no better. from your statement, I can tell you are no better than most of them I have met. Christianity is not a carnival like most of you go to church for. Shouting when the pastor is preaching and all that. It is about listening to the word in church, studying on your own and applying it to your lives.
