What a rich letter, the question now is, what prompted the Ebora of Owu, to pen that unnecessary letter to Jonathan in the first place? Now see what the old man is facing undecided undecided undecided

For a man who broke pipelines and stole oil
Thereby causing spillage and contaminating the water and land of many ijaws like him
For a man who is paid millions of dollars every year to protect pipelines yet ijaw's oil still gets stolen
For a man who accepted the fg's amnesty offer, so that he can make himself and family rich and not the whole ijaw nation
For a man who conscripted young ijaw men into his group to destroy oil installations and kidnap expatriates for ransome,
Mr Asari Dokubo,
u are in no position to play the ijaw messiah,
you are same as the man you accuse, you are greedy and self centred.

From digital age to open letter, Nigerians are making history. We are truly unique.

This looks more like an autobiography than a letter. The guy is annoyingly narcissistic and he's a serial flopper. However, why reply a letter that wasn't addressed to you in the first place with this inane crap?

Anyway, good to know his family background. And I admire his struggle.

I can't wait to see the end of this awful and destructive name NIGERIA. Which has only raised learders that is in for their selfish interest and have destroyed the lifes of those who are trapped in it. If the ijaws cannot lead to the disintegration of this entity NIGERIA, the igbos will raise in the coming year to do dat. We dont need 2015 election, the future of Nigeria will be desided this year. Every entity should deside it fate and not be enslaved by selfish leaders

hillsate: If GEJ does not call Asari Dokubo to order for this needless reply of OBJ's letter then it makes a nuisance of the reply he wrote. I don't care who is right between OBJ and GEj what bothers is why Asari is insultive to someone old enough to be his father.
if an elder cannot respect himself then he should not expect a single respect from individuals both young and age mates

Nigerians please lets read between the lines of all these letters. All of them are self serving and not because they love the country so much, its about personal interest

I love this write up. It is so factful, time, names and dates. Asari is a fearless and blunt truth teller.U APC minions here did not say anything when GEJ replied with facts.U were not happy. D old senile and demented foool who sleeps with his son's wife and batters his wife claimed he wud not join issues with d president. He shud have thought abt dat.OBJ is adrowning man who has lost all relevance even in d eyes of his kinsmen, the yorubas. I fear for APC for they only exist in d media who gain from their reckless and senseless tongue wagging. @ dking123.......I fear for ur offspring

Lordlexyy: It is on record that part of the political and economic crisis we are currently contending with today was grossly due to the bad and corrupt leadership Obj. At the same time i found Asari letter rather inconsequential and lacking in substance. Instead of addressing the corruption issues raised by Obj, he was giving biography of himself and his anticidents of which we already know. His remarks with all appology to ss ppl, shows the clannishness, unintelligence, immaturity, gaffe and pride that often greeted statements from their folks. Asari latest acquisitions is clearly an indication that their supposed struggle for the emancipation Niger Delta was selfish, fraud and an attempt to gain recognition from the high power. Nigeria will continue to be irrespective of opinion polls from selfcentred who haven't read the handwriten on the wall of their perceived slim chance of getting popular vote are using every gimmiks to beat the war drum. Politics is a game of number and popularity, and popularity normally comes with good track record. Nigeria is too big for one dimented militant or region to hold to ransome. If you are not satisfied with the entity, you can always move abroad rathan than come here to create disaffection. ONE NIGERIA WE STAND.

Pray tell, who else has a better track record than GEJ? Nigeria cannot be One by force, any body that thinks he is majority and must continue to lord it over minorities, must be prepared to form a new country where he can rule his majority people, chickena! one Nigeria my foot.

I've never seen such outspokenness in a long time. The hausa/fulani an their misguided southwest allies will surely fail in 2015 elections.

Day after day, it keep dawning on me whether Nigeria is a Nation or an hell being ruled by devils incarnate. Nigeria has being corrupted for a very long time!! A country flowing with milk and honey slandered by mere illiterate leaders. There Almighty come to our aid, amen.

I like the tone of this letter.
This's what Jonathan should have done. The tone of this reply by Asari is exactly what Obasanjo need because it carries the same weight as Obasanjo's letter to Jonathan.
Jonathan have proved himself to be a very weak man who can't fight for himself, I was so shocked how he sounded like a junior staff replying to the master whereas Obasanjo made it clear he's no friend to him.

I'm not a Dokubo fan, I hate his messages and the way he conveys it, but you need to understand the history of Nigeria to sometimes appreciate him. Yes, he broke pipelines to stop the govt's income, as the American would say follow the money, evidently Nigeria govt listen when their pocket is affected. Is it not an insult for foreigners to give you stipends for what you own? Is he worse than the Northerners who have oil wells in the South-South? the Northerners are suppose to have oil or water wells in their villiage.
We need to keep this nation together but we also need a new draft to enable us keep Nigeria together.

My take
- GEJ is weak!
- History is standing before him and he is afraid to make history.
- OBJ's letter was a wake up call for him.
- Why hasn't he conveyed a SNC?....he should have done this in his first or second year.
- He has bad advisers.
- Waiting for tomorrow to take a decision is the worst mistake any man can make only GOD owns tomorrow.
- GEJ is rendering a dis-service to Nigerians by waiting for 2015. If like Yaradua he passes on, his vice Sambo will make a 360 degrees and turn to Northern Agenda.
- Nigeria is broken it has been broken since independence we need SNC to trash in or trash out.

they will still unite to fight you when the need arises so why worry about them? The bottom-line is that they share in common the desire to break-away from your nigeria. My advice is you stop taking our panadol.
