gameboi: it's a new skill I developed cos of that guy that copies all my basslines. And by the way when I play macossa I sometimes leave the transpose at -12 for anykey just to make the notes thick and not easily heard but the feel would be good and killing. Trust me!
Rather than using the transpose button, why not save your self the stress by using the octave button. It gives you a better option of increasing or decreasing the pitch of your keyboard by 2 octaves depending on what particular range of sound you want...[-2,-1,0,1,2].

Yeah..u knw transpose is mre flexible.. octave is kinda fixed... jst -2,-1,0,1,2....but with transpose, when yu reduce, the thickness comes in...but na still stress sha...But pianogirl show me some stuff na..r u gospel, jazz or classical?

olden versions don't have octave button. And I was also shocked the day I saw a keyboard without transpose button. Each time the keyboardist wants to play he begs the singer not to change key If not na end of service be that.

You have done a wonderful job,I wanna ask 3 questions (1) Please can you give me an advanced chord voicing on key C with right hand/Left Hand eg mi = E B E/CDG,re- D A D/ F G C E,I need sth more advance assuming there's a bass player playing along,
(2) What is your re-harmonization technique? (3) give me ur jazz chord voicings on key C for both hands, then also give me 3 difficult gospel worship and artist names so I can download and score,Thanks a million, gameboi u can also help and every member of the house

what you typed there look more like you're talking 'bout slash chords, One other thing I noticed from keyboardists is that they keep on saying things like 'do chord, re chord..et al when in reality there's nothing as such.
Back to Your question1: Are you talking about chord progressions for Jazz?
2. My harmonization techniques are done using most of slash chords.
3. Difficult worship? There are many I know of and used to be obssesed with until I discovered the way the keyboardist played them. Some of them are: a. Now behold the lamb-kirk franklin
b. Incredible God- James hairston( Lots of Sus-chords were used here) c. Praise him in advance-Marvin sapp. These are the ones I remember for now.

Hmmm u seem advanced already o...well to question, I think you should have asked for a voicing for a particular progression...Not to say im too good but i have a lot of voicings in my head...Number 2 : I use all methods, simple substitution, tritones, diatonic sub, chromatic sub, cadential sub..infact i shd just tel u... just knw d name and the meanings, but when u wanna voice a song, be free...don't look at what the book says... number 3: Listen to Donnie Mcclurkin, Marvin sapp, Tye tribbett...the keyboardist behind donnie nd marvin is d same guy...u will learn from him a lot...dload diia old albums ooo cos nowadays, music is so artificial so dey dnt play something heavy now...Wish you the best

notes of the chromatic scale
Re: A Thread For Keyboardists by gameboi: 11:42pm On Jul 25, 2014
Dramadiddy: notes of the chromatic scale
on which key? The way I know them are by their names. E.g Cm7, Cdim, Eb5m6 etc. Calling them by their names makes it easier to play.

Alright but its good u knw the notes for this one cos its a rootless...which means It has another version...the first one there is a Bmin11...but u can see its without the 9th...the second one is an Edom#5#9 but the 5th is not there too... and the last one is an Amin11...the exclusion/inclusion of component notes of the chord make it have diff sounds and varieties...tr playing a min13 chord and u ll find out that it has different sides to it

okay... But that was how I learnt it. By the way, I have a chord progression you might want to try out. I use it as a background chord when the preacher is about to conclude sermon and trust me it sounds soft and touching.
