Hello Guys, I have an issue i need your advice. The card that I used for my Fees has been stolen and hence I needed to cancel the card. What next can I do as I have sent in my application since the 17th of September Please advice thanks
Dicey situation you found yourself in!
I remembered I posted one of the check-list to do if you want to submit your application...with emphasis on credit/debit card.I advised applicants to go and lock the card up somewhere so that it doesn't get lost...we're back in the same circle now.
For now, your best bet is for you to send the the fee payment form as an additional document with all your details on the envelope.Write a strong cover letter to explain the issues. The new fee payment form should contain your new set of instruction which you want CIC to use to process your application....I strongly suggest you raise a bank draft this time around but if you have another functional credit/debit card, you can use it.
I love using credit/debit but after my application was returned in questionable circumstances with no reasonable justification to prove that my card had payment issues,I stopped advising applicants to use it.
Get a new payment form with your preferred option of payment on it,include a cover letter to explain it.
Also, please send a mail to cio-sydney-search-enquiry@cic.gc.ca and make a scan copy of the payment form with the cover letter to be an attachment to the mail before sending.
In the mail.....indicate all your personal details...passport number, date of birth, full names,NOC,address,Initial application date of receipt and so on.
If you have UCI number, include it also.
Wish you the best.
Cheers.

Rest assured that your credential assessment will soon be ready, even before Nov 5. If I may ask, why do u intend to contact your institution? WES has a cordial relationship with most institutions over the years, therefore for verification purposes, channels of communication are numerous and quite open. I had a similar experience a year ago.

Scrollmeout, thanks for your response. Reason why i intend to contact my institution? You know how our institution are being run, especially non-private universities. You have to be on their neck to be able to get things through, and possible grease a few palms. I had to collect my transcript myself to send it, because I was told it could take weeks or months for the school to send it. So I needed to know if WES has contacted them so I can push and beg them to respond on time.
Thanks

Verification response has been received from your academic institution.
They should complete your evaluation within the next two weeks.
Congrats ahead.
Cheers.

Thanks man. I am resting assured now.
Anyway, I saw your response to Hollaugo. Personally, I wouldn't want to use my debit card because of the fear of losing the card or network issues when it is to be debited. Besides, I use my card alot for transactions and I might forget that I pledged a certain amount towards the program. Also, because the exchange rate. I think I will raise a draft. It is safer and more assuring.
But can i raise the draft from any bank. I intend to use UBA.
Thanks and cheers

Pls I tried to register my ielts.

1.After filling the registration form i chose the option that I want to pay later then clicked apply it took me back to the test date page. Now how do I retrieve my application to complete my payment.

2. I saw on their page that you need to send the identification document to the centre for verification and completion of registration process. ...pls how is that possible?

With respect to IELTS, your registration is not complete without payment. Even if you registered several times, as far as you didnt complete the registration by paying, you still have nit registered.
What you need to do is to regiser whenever you have your funded credit/debit card with you.

You can also register by going to british council office with your money and intl passport.

Send the document checklist

Make sure you follow the Document Checklist (IMM 5612) and use it as the cover page of your application. Do not submit documents that are not found on the checklist and do not send duplicates of your application or documentation.

Hi everyone, I saw this on cic website, application guide.

Which is supposed to come first when packaging for submission, is it the checklist, or barcode page?

1. Use the checklist as the main cover page.
2. Put the barcode pages afterwards.

It depends on what you want to go to Canada for.

Do you want there to study, visit, work or even immigrate?
Once you determine what you want to go there for, then you can go to the site for the relevant information.

Goto the British council site there are new dates now 6th and 13th December 2014.
To pay with Gtb card, goto gtb site with your token handy, access your account and get an activation code, then goto the BC site, register and make payment, mastercard security measures will redirect you to where you will input the activation code.

Note to all: if you have a savings and current account will Gtb, your atm card is attached to your current account by default for online bank payment. Particularly for those who opt for CC charge, call gtconnect to ascertain which account your mastercard ATM card is assigned to. In addition, I would advise you test the credibility by using to pay for ielts and ECA before opting as a mode of payment to CIC.

Yes you can register with your naira mastercard provided its activated for online transactions. Talk to your issuing bank about that.

wrt available iets dates, you have to be ready to go to distant centres with available dates.

Pls do your research very well and lastly..

Believe that it is not too late.. never too late with God.

It is well.
