Do you know how many citizens of this country criticize the President on a daily basis? If we are to use your own logic, they should keep mute cos they didn't contest for the Presidency and hence lack the capacity to do so. When critics came down hard on the movie 'Half of a Yellow Sun', no one asked them why they didn't act or direct the movie. Some people are that way, and we call them 'critics'. They criticize. They don't have to be better off than those they are criticizing. And if you actually think they have to be, well...

When Agbani won the Miss World pageant, a lot of people knew she wasn't the most beautiful, it was her Q n A that gave it to her. And yes, we admire the boldness of all the ladies that participated. But I still maintain that it was somewhat a popularity contest. They are not beautful in the real sense of the word.

They always give reasons why they think it should have been done another way. No one faults them when they make sense. When people criticise the President and even insult him, it's often because they believe they know a better way he could have handled matters, in essence comparing his ideology with their own.

It's the same with the movie directing critism you mentioned too. The critics believe they know how it could have been better done. How then do you think to separate the op from her criticism?

Popularity contest, yes I agree. But how does that make EVERY contestant distasteful? It takes a careless mind to assume that 'beauty' has a 'REAL SENSE OF THE WORD'.

__so she should have made her title a question - make people with packaged thoughts help out.
If I had my way, there are a lot I wouldn't have taken/tolerated in this contest, but owing to the fact that the prize is nothing much - we can't be so strict.
