I am looking at the quality of players they had before his arrival. The team was well strengthened before he took over. Then he spent so much on top of that in the season he won the league. We could conclude that if he didn't spend more than Man United he wouldn't have won it.

DALEY BLIND has admitted Gary Neville was RIGHT to criticise him.

The Manchester United legend hit out at new signing Blind for passing sideways too much.

Neville blasted: "‘He has got to start looking up more and playing forward.

"He plays far too many square passes and takes the easy option."

And Blind has agreed with Neville's damming assessment and is working on sorting his flaws out.

He said: "I think I am a player who keeps the ball and helps the rest of the team.

"I'm somebody who tries to play the easy pass instead of the difficult option, but it's also there [in this area of my game] that I have to improve myself.

"I always try to do my best and do what the coach asks of me."

Versatile Blind has also admitted he prefers playing in midfield - not in defence.

The Dutchman added: "I think midfield is a good position for me and it's also where I can help the team the most.

"Maybe my qualities are better for that position but, if the trainer needs me for the left full-back position, then I will play there. It is no problem for me."

I swear lvg has tinkered too much with this team...since we lost to leicester city he has started some craziness...although the injuries haven't help him much this season.

But I believe with an injury free backline he should revert to a midfield with blind,herrera,mata,rooney,di maria..then play falcao upfront!

I like good footballers and a balanced team.

But do you know Herrera is faster than Fellaini? He also had good tackling stat before his injury/relegation. But may be Gaal saw we were not doing well in aerial battle and physical play. Di Maria, Mata, Blind and Herrera were easily bullied off the ball.
