I am sorry but from the perspective of a visitor into Benin City, I cant for the life of me understand what the hype about Adams Oshiomole is all about..


NO ROAD INSIDE THE ENTIRE GRA AND OTHER INNER PARTS OF THE CITY WAS GOOD NOR HAD GUTTERS apart from Airport Road and those othe Major roads.



The City looked really poorly governed.. Buses were stopping and loading in the middle of the road.. Sellers occupying the road and reducing a two lane road to 1 lane.. Abi na the traffic light ehn put be the dividened of Democracy?!

poor sanitation on roads outside that Airport Road area..


Pfft.. I wonder what that Nigga did to deserve all the Praises he gets from his supporters.. Comparing him to the former governor isnt enough.

Just my way of protesting the glaring bias of protecting the Muslims and shielding all their activities from the rest of Nairaland. Them Niggas could be recruiting more Mujahadeens in that section of Nairaland and Nobody would know. For you to have access to the Islamic section, you must Accept Mohammed as your lord and Personal savior.

Coming from a state where the governor opens his mouth and tell the President that he has no score card. and their hypnotised supporters cheer them.

They brew hate for the President yet they are worse .

I went to ekpoma some times back and the place is not different from the days of Ambrose Alli. in fact its even worse as there is still no pipe born water in the university town.

My God...how will students learn under such condition? How will they be competent in real life situations?

Very discouraging. We have lots to deal with in this present time.

The SUG should mobilise and stage a peaceful protest at the Governor's office.

Some one need to take responsibilities. It's not an issue of go and die. Give us right to education and livelihood.

remember what caused the Go and Die incident... Every man and his Dog insulted the gov. Now that he has left the bini people to do as they wish u say the city is ungoverned. If you have stayed in Benin for more than two years you will understand that the Bini's only understand the language of brute force. It's brute force or nothing at all. You will see people driving one way, and coming to complain about oshio's police on nairaland...

i don't know anything about satan and politics but Oshio reminds me of Samuel Ogbenudia. Did well in first tenure and suddenly did nothing the second time around

From my findings, Seun monopolised that sections to muslim alone because of growing abuse and attacks on muslims on that section. It's really unfortunate that the state of insecurity in this country caused us to get suspicious of ourselves even our brothers instead of being our brothers keeper.
The last time I checked the bible, didn't Jesus said we should love our enemies, pray for those who cursed us?

I want to humbly request Oga Seun to have a rethink on that section once aagin.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE was it okay for Oshiomole to tell that woman to; Go & Die.. The problem with what he did was not the removal of the woman, but his attitude and comments. All he had to do was be firm and walk away, not act in such a crude and animalistic manner.
Have you watched American Television shows like; 'Cops' and 'Worlds Willdest Police videos'? Even when the Police are dealing with a criminal, they remain professional without being rude or disrespectful.

Very biased post, go to Edo state and see How gov Oshiomole have transformed the Education sector, refurbished all govt primary schools in the state, this poster is just being a hater, Oshiomole still remains my best governor, mind u, am not from Edo state neither am I an APC member, I only did my tertiary education at Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma.

I have nothing against muslims just what the Nairaland execs are doing with the Islamic section. The problem with Islam today is tolerance and isolating them cant possibly be the solution. CHristians put up with way worse shiit from Atheists than Muslims do, but you dont see anybody having to accept Jesus to enter the Christian section..

If Nairaland must protect religous freedoms, then it should do it for all religions equally without bias.

Whats good for the Greece, is Good for Uganda. angry

I used to judge Oshiomole using BRF and Amosun's achievement as APC governors. Alas, i was wrong. We mostly digest any debris the media gives us without proper investigations. The roads in Ekpoma, Irua etc are nothing to write about. In schools, the teachers are mostly corp members with few staffs and yet, the governor comes out to say he sacked teachers for one reason or the other without proper replacement. What baffles me is that he gets cheers from large crowd making viewers from other state think he is indeed the man of the ppl

I served in one of the schools. College of education Ekiadolor. Gawd!!! That school needs help. I feel sorry for the generation of teachers raised there. Members of staff dont have enough furnitures let alone, the students. Students performance, very bad except to few of them. This is a reflection of their primary and secondary education background. Male students bribe their wÀy through while female students pay with sex. Students hostels are the worst places to be. Built since late 70s and never been renovated except for some patch up works carried out every now and then. I can go on and on but the bottom line is govt intervention is always on the way but it never arrives as the governor keeps promising without fulfillment. The only advise i gave to the few students i came in direct contact with was they they should brace up and start afresh in a polytechnic or university as my secondary school was 100 times better than their own college of education.
