Ever since i joined this forum in 2013, i've noticed that some persons here have in one way or the other helped others with vital information to better their situation in times of need. They dish out information that would not have been heard or found by an ordinary person like myself.

These people have helped to shape the lives of aspiring Students, Undergraduates, Graduates, Job seekers, etc by offering words of advice to better their lot. They have a few things in common. They are intelligent, hardworking, sincere, humble and their oral and written communication are top notch. They seem to know almost everything.

Without wasting much time, i'll reel out their names in no particular order. They are:

1. Jarus - He is a First Class Graduate of Economics from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU). He's a Financial Analyst in one of the Oil & Gas firms while also doubling as the CEO of www.jarushub.com, a portal which focuses on management and career guidance for young Nigerians.

He has the following threads to his credit:

2. Xfire - This man has been firing on all cylinders since 500BC. He is a Chemical Engineering graduate of a Nigerian University. Are these your top 10 most influential N'landers or your top 10 most influential N'landers in their respective sections?

If these guys are making your ''top 10'' most influential NL'anders on the basis that they kept people abreast with info on job vacancies, academics, and words of encouragement, then you're already doing a great disservice to objectivity.

I know many guys from TEHN and other sections, who in one way or the other effected tremendous change on the lives of individuals and NL at large.

So mind being specific?

Cool list. there are a lot of outstanding guys out there, probably better than these guys but these are the guys that have decided to give a helping hand to the upcoming ones out of their busy schedules. They offer themselves selflessly which is what humanity should be all about.

It's not easy to give without expecting anything in return. They have done so.

The list is important for those that may have issues or concerns surrounding career and education.

Great one OP

To your dismay, this thread will hit Front Page. Seun, 1forall, crazyman kindly take note.
If funny topics such as 'top 10 husband and wife materials' can reach FP, I see no reason why people who actually add real value to Nairalanders shouldn't be celebrated on front page.

I was right. What a childish response. It's jarus himself who penned this self-serving drivel. Positioning himself as numero uno with the '1st-class' Economics degree from OAU, whatever. It's not what 'class' you came out with but what you do with it.

Adding real value to NLers, you say? Lol!

Well, you can continue basking in your 'groupie' affair and your desire to be celebrated, if that's how you get your rocks off, it ain't illegal yet.

I just came across this post through the "mention" link.

Op is Jarus? Are you serious? Did you even bother to do a simple check of his past posts/topics as I did now? You think someone that opened a thread asking questions on Rivers State University of Technology students/aspirants, is Jarus?

You think getting listed on a Nairaland list adds anything to Jarus?

You definitely don't know Jarus.

You said getting First Class is not the issue but what you made of it. Yes, I thank God my first class has earned me a decent life by any standard.
