This pictures will eventually chase the ibo warriors out this thread.

The iddiotss are so insecure and wary of their own party and candidate. They'll rather sink with Jimi Agbaje.

Clowns!!

Lol don't mind the clowns on nairaland, most of them are PDP paid agents anyway . the Igbos on the street are wiser, they are already building a relationship with Ambode. They even donated a campaign office in Festac to him a few weeks ago

Please when will our Igbo leaders write an open letter to Jonathan about the infrastructural decay of federal stuctures in Igbo land? Besides that, No ibo man in top three in Nigeria... President, VP, Senate and come 2015, no show if PDP wins because David Mark is also in the race.. smh**

Fact!!
Collynzo419:

Nonsense

Nigeria is made of different ethnic groups!!

Lagos is YORUBALAND!!!!

That ethnic homogeneity you talk about is only possible because YORUBAS are welcoming and give your iboe people a chance to escape poverty .
As always, you iboes will take people for fools and have declared Lagos as no man's land which is bullshiiite.

Iboes are immigrants in Lagos and all Yorubaland. U are here because we welcome u and let u live peacefully and have a life you would not have in your village

We are progressive and will vote for anyone but that is our choice and not at your request.

Can I ask you? What opportunities do non-ibos have in your state?

U can not expect to have what you can never ever give others- hypocrites!!!

Too bad, PDP and APC are not fielding Igbo as deputy governor. Why can't Felicia Chukwunike join Bob Okoroji and form a win-win alliance?
Bob is an accomplished lawyer and Felicia, an able sociologist. They are eminently qualified and they have the majority rooting for them.

2015: Igbo in Lagos insist on deputy governorship

Politicians of Igbo extraction in Lagos State have continued to lobby for the deputy governorship slot in exchange for their support for any of the major political parties in the 2015 governorship election in the state.

The south-eastern politicians, under the auspices of the Ndigbo United Association, have said their insistence on getting the deputy governorship and other elective positions was based on the population of the Igbo in Lagos and their contribution to development of the state.

The National Chairman of NUA, Chief Anselm Njoku, told our correspondent that they were hopeful that an Igbo lady, who is in the governorship race on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, would emerge as the governorship candidate.

He, however, said in the case she did not emerge, they would proceed with their demand for deputy governorship slot and other elective positions.

Njoku said, “There is an Igbo lady in the race. Her name is Dr. Felicia Chukwunike. She is contesting on the platform of the PDP. It is the party that will take the decision on who would be deputy governor. But she is very well qualified. She has a PhD in Sociology and has been into consulting for many years.

“Whether she has any chance or not depends on the delegates who would vote at the governorship primary. I’ve been sampling the opinion of the delegates, and most of them are saying Lagos does not need a female governor for now. But until the primary election comes and goes, she is still hopeful.

“Yes, we are insisting on deputy governorship position. After the primary, if the woman does not emerge as the PDP governorship candidate, we will appeal to the leadership of the party to give Ndigbo other positions, particularly, deputy governor. Considering our population in Lagos and contributions to the development of this state, it is not a bad demand.

Njoku said the Igbo were more likely to get their request granted by the PDP than the All Progressives Congress.

He said the APC, in the past 15 years, had not given Igbo politicians in Lagos the chance to contest on its platform.

He said, “We know the antecedent of the APC. By 2015, the APC would have been in power for 16 years. There are about 560 elective positions in Lagos and they have not given us ordinary councillorship. It would be a daydream for us to think they would give us deputy governor. Even if they give us, it would not come from their hearts. I don’t see them doing that. Otherwise, they would have started by giving us councillor; local government chairmen, House of Assembly members and so on.

In 2011, some Igbo people ran for seats in the Lagos State House of Assembly on the platform of the PDP. Some Igbo politicians also ran for local government chairman in the last local government election. For example, Alimosho Local Government, it was an Igbo man that ran there on the platform of the PDP. It was unfortunate that the PDP did not win the election. The PDP has the antecedent of allowing non-indigenes to contest on its platform in Lagos. That is why it seems we are tilting towards the PDP. But if the APC decides to give us deputy governor, then we will support them.”

I used to think the idea of "one Nigeria" was a reality until I came into this thread. Now it's obvious that there's a no such thing as one Nigeria. If the youths already have a cold war going on, then where's the oneness in Nigeria?
There's obviously no respect for past leaders if they're not from your tribe. The Igbo's have negative things to say about Awolowo, the yoruba's have negative things to say about Azikiwe, someone even described the igbo's who died in the civil war as "worthless souls".

Hmmmm. Only God can save this nation. Please those calling for sounds war should be careful what they wish for. A war is the worst thing that can happen to any people. How would Nigeria even work when our youths have this mentality?

Our brothers from the SE won't kill me
Are there no important and more pressing issues with the SE?
Its political appointment in another state that is bothering them? Talk about misplaced priority.

Its very convenient to want to be a part of a relative success story but let's be realistic, having some one from anotger tribe rule would be a hard sell.

Lagos is yoruba land simple. Let's call a spade a spade.

But dont let me discourage you, politics is a game of numbers, if u av them as u claim, let's meet at d polls next yr.

I am sorry for Nigerians like you. You guys thinks backward. Nobody stops you from setlling in Onitsha, asaba or Enugu if you have the audacity to start afresh and establish in a new place. Lagos is the present commercial capital of Nigeria like new York is to americans,London to Britons, even though it is still more of a slum at the moment. Own by Nigerians, built by Nigerians and will remain nigerian's as long as there is peace in that country.

You don't have the right to say that statement on the last line of your post and the same can be said of Igbo people in the east of any Nigerian. Wow! I am surprised of the divide in the nation perpetrated by the old and young. That is a big shame though.
