happy new year to everyone in the house, please I nid ur advise to tell me what went wrong.i applied for a family visit to d us wt my hubby and two kids. The first question she asked was where are we going to,which we told her and she asked us who invited us and my hubby said his sister.she then asked for my hubby passport and asked if he had travelled before; he said yes but to african countries. she later asked for my passport and immediately she saw my dubai stamps, she asked if I have travelled before and I said yes and she asked what do I do, I told her I have a boutique.she asked what do I specialise on, which I told her. The last question she asked me was have u travelled wt d kids before and I said no, immediately she denied me d visa . meanwhile for d few minutes we were talking, her eyes was just on the laptop typing what I dont know |

sparklerii:Sorry about that. The only thing I can think of here is, how did ur husband's sister immigrate? Maybe you guys should travel as a family ist and reapply later. The paper she gave you, what did it say? What was the color? |

LadyGuinivere:Lol @ Nna send some to me na.I will, you deserve it the great job you are doing hereon ma. I'm just trying to view myself from a "winch craft" VO's point of view.i.e the fact that my wife went to US, gave birth, paid her bill and came back could be a decoy to a grand plan of not coming back if we all enter, lols. My business is relatively medium. I have 12staff on my payroll apart from adhoc staffs. And yes, my wife got a B1/B2 medical visa. Lastly, i will like to go for the interview by 3rd week of march please when should i start filling the ds-160/schedule appointment. Thanks |

Alubosa:Sir, i planned to do that but some stuffs that required my financial attention came up so i had to priortize. I didnt know one could get a visa even if he doesn't have the plans of travelling. What i was made to understand is that one must travel not later 6 months of issuance of visa otherwise he could be sent back at POE. I wouldn't know how true that is |
| Re: Usa Visit Visa by LadyGuinivere: 7:23am On Jan 05, 2015 |
100dollarbills:Whosoever told you that is...ok let me just said that a bald faced untruth. U can use your visa any time after issuance. 2ndly, IMO , you are ok. Your wife did everything by the books. Now as to employment. I believe you pay yourself salary? Whilst filling the form remember to fill in your monthly salary o not your profit from the business. It might do yoo good if you have a statement that shows this (not that they peruse documents, but one never knows the day the winch VO will decide to come out ; D ![]() As to filling your form, I always say the earlier the better, you have enough time to cross check your forms and get the date you want. So for march, its ok to start now. Cheers and best of luck! |

Morning all, the paper is white and it says we ve been found ineligible for a nonimmigrant visa under section 214b of d US immigration and nationality act .applicants usually meet this requirement by demonstrating that they have strong ties overseas that indicate that they wld return to a foreign country after a temporary visit to the united states, such ties include professional, work, school, family, or social links.you have not demonstrated that u have ties that will compel you to return to your home country, how ever u may reply at any time or to demonstrate that ur circumstances have changed since that application. |
| Re: Usa Visit Visa by LadyGuinivere: 11:22am On Jan 05, 2015 |
@sparkle simply put , the VO wasn't satisfied that you guys woudlnt run off in the US. I mean you guys have not travelled together and returned. So take a family vacation to a non african country ist. Please make una add o if I no yarn better |

@suxes2006,hello house My aunt in USA want to send me a letter of invitation to come over. She also said I should let her know what other document she need to provide. I am currently unemployed in Nigeria and i don't know which document I should ask her to provide. Please, I need the house to advice me on what to tell her to send and how I should go about this. I would also like to know if it is possible for a guy who does not have a job to get visa travel down to USA.I have also not traveled outside the shores of this country. How do I go about it, where do I start and what should I tell her. My Aunt want me to come over there and apply for a Masters. Thanks for help and your advice. |

LadyGuinivere:LadyG abeg how many colours of papers do they give? Because I got a white one which I tore into pieces b4 I got into my car that day b4 driving like a mad woman |
| Re: Usa Visit Visa by babbs45: 7:37pm On Jan 05, 2015 |
squash1986:It's been said so many times that invitation letters and other documents like bio data page, income tax return etc are not necessary when applying for a B1/B2. You'll be surprise VO is not going to ask to see those documents on your day of interview. What is important is your social and economic ties to your country. You made mentioned of doing your masters when you get to the state, so why can't you apply for schools in the states from Nigeria? IMO, the F1 visa is little easier to get with careful planning. Check out this thread, amazing things are happening there. https://www.nairaland.com/1869186/general-u.s.a-student-visa-enquiries-part Good luck! |

celosia:hello all I still await your advice on the above. Thanks |
| Re: Usa Visit Visa by Nobody: 9:45pm On Jan 05, 2015 |
LadyGuinivere:i'm sure I was madder than you lmao but I managed to smile out of the interview hall, when I got home my aunt just cheered me up by telling me she got hers after 4 refusals, I just started laughing again |
| Re: Usa Visit Visa by Nobody: 9:48pm On Jan 05, 2015 |
celosia:I think you have got it right this time around because you already know the reason for your refusal the last time, fill your form correctly and make it sway more towards vacation and add any supporting documents that you think will help your case, you have a job and an income source so you shouldn't have issues |
| Re: Usa Visit Visa by Nobody: 9:51pm On Jan 05, 2015 |
Udiboy:there are no specific documents required for interview, just bring documents that you think will help your case and just incase know your sister's ssn the v.o might ask, those v.o's you never know what they are up to |
| Re: Usa Visit Visa by Nobody: 10:14pm On Jan 05, 2015 |
celosia:The fundermentals behind wht you'd expect @ ur visa interview is dependent on wht u filled on ur application form. Just be confident, consistent & straightforward with your answers to the VO. Cheers! |
| Re: Usa Visit Visa by Udiboy(f): 10:31pm On Jan 05, 2015 |
chloe7:She sent a scanned copy of her green card already. But I just wanted to know what the experience was like for anybody who was interviewed at abuja office. |
| Re: Usa Visit Visa by Nobody: 11:02pm On Jan 05, 2015 |
Udiboy:abuja consulate is a lenient one as we all know, and you don't need to stress much but take necessary documents because they request for a few documents compared to Lagos |

Teeboy22:fill your ds -160 form, pay visa fees at gtbank for b1/b2 category, schedule an appointment and attend the interview, 2 years is the regular that is is the regular that is issued, but the v.o can issue lesser at his or her discretion. |
