Really,that interesting!

Try us out,we a the authorized distributor in Nigeria for this brand,

This is the pocket diaper,On amazon its $25.95, with shipping to Nigeria =?.

Thanks

Auntie, no vex. We weren't planning on Amazon. The rate I used was black market (which is highest now at N210), a card would be cheaper. I do appreciate Nigeria's wahala with importation and pocket diapers are more expensive, but I haven't even thrown in inserts and a few other extras. All the best sha, glad you got that distributorship smiley

You're kidding, had zero idea Rumperooz was in Nigeria, was planning to try them and Flip Hybrid brand. I know a few other interested clothe diaper Mummies as well, but most of us were planning on ordering online.

So just did a price comparison...oh boi.... lipsrsealed

Really! Thats interesting!

I have been exposed to cloth diapers since 2011 and trust me,this is the best brand out there.

These are the pocket diapers and on amazon its $25.95 + Shipping to Nigeria =? Naira (remember dollar is on the rise!).

We are the authorized distributor for this brand in Nigeria and you will have a warranty on your product when you buy from us.

Apart from the fact that it will be more expensive ordering from abroad,You wont be bale to claim warranty on the diaper.

Thus give us a shot!

With all due respect, I do know what I'm referring to. A customer won't walk up and make a comment without doing her research. I'm the one convincing my friends and group people to try CD. A seller has a right to price their product according to his/her business module. Thanks for your replies

Please do not buy the clothing diaper they are not worthy at all, you are better off using traditional nappies.

Its either you are referring to another brand or to the Rumperooz cloth diaper covers ,the covers dont come with inserts, they are used with prefolds. This is a pocket diaper, even on the brand owner's site the pocket diaper price is same with whats on Amazon.

Thanks for your comment/questions too!

Breakdown of cost savings when cloth diapers are used.

Assumptions
Assuming child is potty trained at 2.5 years.

Assuming 4 diapers are used per day @ 70 naira each

Total cost of disposable= 365 days * 2.5 years *70 naira * 4 per day (255,500 naira per child on diapers!!)

With the soap, electricity and water cost, cloth diapering full time will cost approximately 181,248 per child and much less for subsequent children. Thus saving approximately 74,252 naira per child and much more on subsequent children.
See table for breakdown.

Apart from cost savings, other advantages of cloth diapers include:

1) They are a healthier choice of diapering, as they are free from chemicals contained in disposable diapers.

2) They are a better choice for the environment, helping to reduce the environmental pollution caused by disposables.

3) They are made of are breathable material thus reducing the heat on baby's bottom.

4) Cloth potty training pants help toddlers’ potty train quickly when compared with disposable pull up pant.

5) Parents will never run out of baby diapers as long as they have been washed.

6) Being able to use the same diaper for two children such as a toddler and an infant, during the same period.

Cloth Diaper FAQs

What is a modern Cloth Diaper?
A modern cloth diaper is a washable, reusable diaper made of any one (or several) types of fabric . A modern modern cloth diaper usually requires a cloth diaper cover that is One size (fits a child from birth up until potty training). The sizing of the one size diaper cover is achieved by strategic placement of snaps/Velcro/aplix closures on the front of the diaper. This allows for the front of the diaper to be folded over and for the closure to be snapped on top of each other. As the baby grows, several snap settings allow for waist and leg growth.

Do people really still use cloth diapers?
As a matter of fact, cloth diapering has become quite the vogue thing to do ,especially among the educated ,fashionable ,health and environmental conscious parents. Even the rich and famous, from singers and TV personalities, to Hollywood stars, have been spotted with their children in cloth diapers. They include: Christina Aguilera (Singer), Tony Blair (Politician), Celine Dion (Singer), Michael J. Fox (Actor), Julia Roberts (Actress), Usher (Singer).

What do I do with the poop? Good question!!
I think everybody asks us this question. It is important to note that it is EASY! Modern inventions (like flushable diaper liners and the diaper sprayer) have taken the grossness factor out of this issue.
If you are not using a flushable diaper liner, as with any other diaper, remove as much solid poop as possible at the time of diaper change (shake into toilet or use a diaper sprayer/shower hose) and flush!
But with a flushable diaper liner, all you have to do is to lift the poop with the liner ,or turn it over ,into the toilet and flush!

What are flushable diaper liners?
Flushable liners are used between the diaper and the baby's skin, letting moisture (urine) pass through to the diaper while preventing solids waste from getting on the diaper. They are made with soft and biodegradable materials. They can be easily flushed away in the toilet. They help to easily dispose off baby poop while also preventing the solid wastes from staining the cloth diapers, thus making cloth diaper laundry easier.

My baby is in a daycare center, will I be able to cloth diaper?
Yes you can. Your initial discussion with the daycare will be more successful when you take along one of the diapers and demonstrate the ease of use. They require that you provide a place to store used diapers and that you take your diapers home with you each night for washing. You can purchase a diaper wet bag for this purpose. Remember that ease of use is going to be an essential bargaining chip!Because public perception of cloth diapering still revolves primarily around flat diapers, vinyl diaper covers and pins, it may help to have one diaper on hand that you can use to demonstrate the ease of use.

Will my house smell like a diaper pail / bin?
You shouldn't have any more odor than you experience with disposable diaper. Many cloth diapering parents actually claim to smell less diaper pail/bin odor when using cloth diapers simply because their cloth diapers aren't full of perfumes (like disposables).
The best way to combat diaper pail/bin odor is to wash cloth diapers frequently, at least every other day. Finally,be sure that your diaper pail/bin has a lid on it and keep it closed.

What about washing?
The number one thing to remember when caring for your diapers is they are just another load! It is as easy as washing your normal baby clothes. There is no magical solution that you should need and no crazy tricks. You can also hand wash as easily too.
How long does it take to dry on a clothline?
Depending on the time of the day and season of the year and the type of diaper, modern cloth diapers can take between 3 to 5 hours to dry on a cloth line.

How long can it be used on a baby?
Depending on the age of your baby, type of modern cloth diaper system you are using and brand,a diaper should last between 6-8 hours.
What if my diaper starts smelling?
If you're having problems with diapers that smell after washing, try an extra rinse. Sometimes detergent residue can cause diapers to smell.
Do I have to sanitize the washing machine after washing my cloth diapers?Absolutely not. If the diapers are clean, the washing machine is clean.

I am traveling can I use cloth diapers?
Yes of course! Its like saying I am traveling, can I wear reusable clothes?Just make sure you have the necessary accessories such as wet bags and disposable liners that will ease the storage of the used diapers till you get to your destination. Also, depending on the cloth diaper system you use ,your babies’ age and the length of your journey, you can increase the diaper absorbency by using 2 or more diaper inserts.

How many years can I use it for?
This depends on your frequency of washing, how you take care of them and the number of children using it for per time. However most modern cloth diapers will last for more than one child. They get better with age because the more you wash them the more absorbent they become.
Which is the best brand of modern cloth diaper?
The Rumparooz brand of cloth diaper is the best. www.clothdiaper.ng

I love love love these diapers! They fit my daughter great. She started wearing these around 5 or 6 weeks old on the smallest setting. We use both 6R soakers at night time and they do the job all night long. And the double gussets help contain any runny poo. These are our favorite cloth diapers.-Liz

Soft, love the inner gussets.Great diaper, really cute and extremely functional. No leaks!!!
Great diaper and so soft!! My daughter had a huge blow out in this diaper and my husband and I were amazed how it didn't leak or anything. Excellent quality and it washes perfectly.-
Fits great, durable, holds a lot!! Super cute too!!-Shawna

This diaper is too cute! The colors are so rich and the inside fabric is incredibly soft. The rise and fit is perfect on my 8 week old son. I really like the 6R insert and the ability to modify extra protection to the areas that need it most. I will definitely be buying more products from them! -Ashley

They are the only diapers that do not leak on my LO. These are so soft and I love the gussets. This satisfies my polka dot obsession too!- Shara

I have been using the aplix version on my daughter since her cord dropped off and healed. I have never had a leak or blowout. The double gussets are soft but work phenomenally. The inserts soak up liquid very well while the diaper itself keeps skin dry. So far there has been no signs of wear on any of the diapers. They were a bit bulky when my daughter was still under a month but as she grew the bulkiness was no longer noticeable; It never restricted her movement or bothered her. I would definitely recommend these to anyone interested in using cloth diapers.-Kazmar

Traditional nappies do not have leak protection and are not as fancy as the modern ones. The modern ones are also made with natural fabrics like bamboo that have antibacterial properties thus eliminating the likelihood of nappy rash, they old ones will most likely cause nappy rash.Just my 2 cents.

I hope you are not planning to buy on ebay? people sell used cloth diapers there i am saying this because i have read a lot about these diapers on baby centre before i got mine and its a fact that the initial cost might seem high but the cost savings in the long run is what matters.

Cloth diapers are more comfortable and healthier.Cloth is breathable that is why we all wear cotton undies and not undies made from plastic. Also cloth diapers do not contain absorbent chemicals, its the safest because you are sure that no chemical comes close to your baby's tender skin. The chemicals in disposables have been reported to contain traces of dioxin,a chemical that causes cancer.

6 EFFECTIVE WAYS TO HELP YOUR BABY SLEEP AT NIGHT
Mothers must understand that babies have a different sleep cycle from adults. Babies are in the Rapid Eye Movement (REM) state for around 50% of the sleep time. During the REM state, babies are easily woken up. The REM sleep promotes brain building and helps them to be able to get mummy’s attention when they are hungry, cold, hot or can’t breathe well. By the second to third month, babies will have shorter period of REM sleep and longer period of non REM (deep sleep).
