Congrats BossladyMo. Glad you are settling in!

bossladyMo:

Naaaaa...just your Naija license. You need to take a written test though, and then a practical test. The written test is not hard, as long as you study the material...I passed mine in one go. Also, even if your licwnse is expired, but by not more than 2yrs, you can still convert it...just that you will have to spend $130 on a learner's permit to take the test.

The sockets are different here oooo. So be ready to buy a converter adaptor...$14. Also, ensure you bring AV and RF cord for TV, just in case the house you rent does not have it. AV cord that is sold for N200 or so, is over $30 here...while the cheapest RF is $19......imagine!!!

Got a job with Telstra y'all, training starts Monday....entry level position, but still something to get my foot in the 'Australian Experience' Door.....peace!

Re: General Australian Visa Enquiries by weemee: 7:27pm On Mar 05, 2015
What started like a wish is now a reality, all thanks to God for those He has used to achieve this dream.

Bossladymo, your input keeps this forum going
malkinburg, you are sent from God for someone like me
And I want to say a big thank you for the answers to all reasonable and unreasonable questions that have been raised on this forum. I have gained immensely from them all.

I saw a bright and beautifuI city on Tuesday morning when i landed in Gold Coast. I had no issue with border security because I declared my garri, melon and pepper. I told them what i had in my bag when i was asked and the guy that confirmed the content was inpressed with the way i packaged the food items(sealed and well labelled)

So far so good i can confidently say coming to OZ is one of the best decisions I have ever made. I observe that the people here smile a lot and they go extra length to help u with cheerfulness. Why won't they always smile when things are working? Why won't they live long here when the system has made everything to be simple and highly organized?
Please, don't give up on that pursuit because on the long run, it will definitely be worth all the trouble

Since you are adding her to the application, you must fill it. It is needed in case external security check would be conducted and since she would also be granted the PR, her history is important.

The information you fill is not restricted to claiming points only.

Also have issues in sending job duties. It keeps saying some rubbish like English, punctuation etc done everything possible, still not going.

Why would they give new immigrants free accomodation upon all their generousity on the migration skill. They only give temporary accomodation for the refugees or asylum seekers.

well the Nigerian post to the western countries take about 3 weeks so I'd reckon the wait could be in that region too.... However, I wouldn't hold my breath knowing how disorganized our postal service can be sometimes .... Hope it comes soon.

An alternative thing may be to get ACRO to send it to a friend of yours in the UK. I think it's 20 pounds to send additional copies if wothing a certain window... Not sure of the details now, pls check. Then you can get your friend to scan and send to you.

In that case, put the date you are filling the form, they understand it is current job.

Don't use special characters in filling the form. Use short sentence to describe your job functions.
