Pls has anyone travelled with Airfrance.
Please what is it like and how many luggage can one carry.
Please ur advice needed.
Thanks
I used Airfrance for my trip in October and my return 2months after in Dec. The going was ok but I didn't like their ground representatives at Baltimore. Baby luggage is only 20kg. Careful when booking your baby's ticket. In-flight service was ok.

Hello Oyin,
Still wondering how come your British passport isn't transferrable to your kids. Everyone I know with one has transferred to their kids. The condition for some is that the kids must be born in the Uk. I also have friends who do not have a British passport but their kids have because they were born in the UK and have ancestors that were UK citizens.
In my opinion it is worth doing further research as your healthcare should be covered since you are a citizen and the service here is usually better. Besides the perks of having a British passport far outweigh the US one.

Hello people,

kindly help!!!

- Does one with birtitsh passport require a visa for birthing in the US

- This passport is non transferable to children (before some people start asking why not consider the UK for birthing)

- If one requires a visa what is the process like?

- if the visa is not required what is the process like.

Remember that those with the UK passport have a waiver to the US for 90 days maximum without a visa.

Would appreciate your responses. Thank you[/quote]

I had my son at Oakbend on Wednesday morning via section. Dr. Fagbohun was marvelous. Checked on us all through our stay in the hospital till we got discharged yesterday.

The nurses and their assistants were wonderful. Enjoyed the experience sha no cause to complain. My son was kept in the nursery while I recover. Yet to settle the other bills since their offices are not opened on weekends but will swing into action by Monday after picking up the birth certificate.

Wish others safe delivery.
please what is the hospital charges

Hi,

British citizenship is not transferable to the 3rd generation if it was obtained from a parent who is a citizen.

However, the child doesn't have any benefit in terms of citizenship, the mother's bills are covered under NHS.
The child would have to remain in the UK for a minimum of 10 years or more to obtain his/her citizenship

Is any may/june or july houston bound mother interested in sharing accommodation? The place is 13 mins drive to oakbend and 9mins to WHMC

My sister used the same place and it is so nice. Very trek-able and close to Walmart and all other stores. Pm me if you need info.

Hello,

Thanks alot sister, called the hospital but they directed me to the pricing list on their website which only includes charges for delivery and nursery excluding epidural, drugs and so on And was told I can't make appointment with them that I can only do with a doctor.

Uhmmm, that's because the everything is done separately in the US system, the hospital has given you what they take care of only. Some hospital would have access to fees of the Epidural, others won't. You may have to search for that bit of info.

home office likes to change immigration rules from time to time at least the last I heard last month was that even though parents are resident in the u.k and don't have papers the children born there won't be given papers no matter the amount of years they have lived there. Those British people aren't nice with their passports at all at all

Hi mate, I am british citizen your kid is british by decent regardless of where they born unless citizenship was earned decent, if british citizenship was acquired by decent yo can still apply to register your kids for british nationality if you have lived in UK for 3 years prior to your baby is born outside UK.If born in uk than no registration required.I am in the similar situation in terms of my wife will be giving birth in usa, because they are making it really strict for spouse visa so I thought since she has b1/b2 visa she can travel to usa and my kids will be dual national British American. As a british we don't need visa to come to usa as long as it's less than 90 days you can apply for visa waivier esta which only cost you 14 US dollars which is around 8 pounds.

It would be better once your wife gives birth register your child as british national through registration process, or instead you can apply for right of abode for your kid and apply for passport within UK, it would be easier that way.
Kind regards
Rizwan

You can make payment before you go into labor and also demand for a tour of the labor/delivery/post partum suites. That was what I did.

Hello All, for those who have used Dr Fagbohun in Houston, I want to know the rental apartment that you used. Is it close to his hospital. What is the cost like. My wife is a September mother.

Riz, go to Google and type Dr Glenn Morgan, a lot of info will pop up for you to go through. He is a doctor in houston with HNWMC and his charges plus hospital charges are quite fair. If you don't understand how to do it via Google, send me your email and I will explain. So it doesn't look like I am advertising.
