[size=14pt]Can u see now? Your husband said he don't want them to come, so the wife should just adhere to the her husband's decision.

Their coming isn't necessary, who know if she insist on them coming that can lead to break-up, the man will be thinking if he marry her, she might not be submissive to any good decision of he's.

Thanks for the kind words @donKonji.
Quite difficult getting non holier than thou advice nowadays.
those who unleash venom at the slightest opportunity end up doing worse things sometimes.
Just wanted to correct another impression, my friend previously worked with the man in question hence the reason why they still communicate. Nothing more!

donKonji:
She probably is still in love with the sugarman. Seriously, if I were the fiance, I would have an in-depth heart2heart with my lady to determine why she feels extending an invite to her ex 'aristo' is required under this circumstances.
My fellow nairalanders, if u love someone it isn't so easy discarding the person just because of such silly request. Consider the brighter side, at least she was honest enough to seek his permission. What if she went ahead to invite all men from her previous relationships without his knowledge. And then on the d-day they all appear splashing cash on the couple while the groom ignorantly dances his life away believing his wife is honest.
Not that I endorse her move to solicit her fiance's consent. No not at all. But at times we should step aside and attempt assessing a situation unbiasedly while providing non-sentimental counsel.
OP please convey this to your friend.

Well I dnt blame the gurl, na the boy allow her talk sef. On a normal day u cnt even tell ur hussy to be that u want ur ex BF (not aristo), to attend ur party sef, in relationship if u ar still chatting with ur ex that ur current boyfrnd knows it a big problem, not letting in aristo.

The gurl must hav been taking care of the guy with her aristos money, who knows if is the aristo that is even sponsoring their wedding.

My friend told me she's asked her fiance if her ex 'aristo' married lover can attend their wedding coming up next month (April). She says her fiance is quite upset and indeed disgusted at the brazen nature of this request and sees it as a slap in the face.

My question is, if he accepted her baggage at the onset of their relationship, why get agitated by this request?
She, U must be very stupid for such....marriage ended!!!

I have never ever seen a topic where all nairalanders took the same decision or gave the same opinion.

Clearly every one is against that stupid move. That lady has no respect for herself or husband to be and by this move, she has not repented of her past.

The husband should be very careful and not be fast in getting her pregnant as I have a feeling he will soon dump her.

are you okay? Someone decides to overlook the fact that a lady used to be an Ashi and they put it in the past and then before their wedding she's seeking permission to invite ONE of her customers to their wedding and U expect the guy to smile and say "YES dear, your former customer can come" for her to ask for such, the guy could begin to assume that she's still going about her old ways...... Personally would get pissed if I find my girlfriend still calling and recieving calls from her ex....

I agree with you. Ladies with low self esteem are quite vulnerable and probably would spread open for any male that as much as whispers sweet nonsense to their ears or even chats them up.
But that doesn't change the fact when you love someone it often is quite difficult breaking up things at such advanced stage of the rel.
May be the choice of words by the OP - 'aristo' triggers loads of aggressive reaction by readers.
Makes the fiancee look like a career runs girl and dirty too.
