the man said is 3000 per carton and i will still pay 10 per bird for the vaccination

Please, you guys always using agents to purchase DOC you need to grow up, these guys will reap you off cos they know you don't have direct contact with the hatcheries. white cockerel can be as low as N5 sometimes and max of N15 while black can be as high as N20 max.

here is Zartech direct number 08055990399

Enjoy.

@AK123. get conflox 20% and give the birds. could be CRD or Coryzal or other infections until proven by a lab.

Great Farmers,
Whenever we have issues with our birds we are quick to come here to seek for solution. in the same manner, we shd report to the house on which of the suggestion/drugs/activities worked for us.
This will enable others to learn and the blog becomes a great instrument of learning.

Which vaccine did you administer. if its gumboro. get iodine asap and add to the water at 1ml/lit. you can equally spray them with the iodine solution and V. ox .

You will use the iodine for 4 days. The V.ox is an anti- virus's drugs sold in vet stores. where available you can equally get Virracid though its a bit expensive.
Don't forget to spray the birds and change the liters immediately.
Goodluck.

good day farmers in d house, my black layer birds, 190 pieces in number are now 6 months old. they are now laying average of 80 eggs per day. the issue is that rain entered their pen and wet some of them, and d saw dust became soaked with water. now d saw dust has been changed with new one and birds feathers are dried.
d question is this: do I need to treat them to prevent any sickness and which drug do I need to apply.
thanks.

Next time don't vaccinate sick birds with live vaccines. Treat them first and when they're well, wait 2-3 days before vaccinating.

They have been stressed, so give them vitamins and an antibiotic like tylodox.

My ogas in the house, I am having a drop in egg production of my layers bird of 1000 from 27crates to 19crates. They started well and was doing really till they reach 27crates/day, they suddenly felt sick(Newcastle diseases) which I believed to be a result of failed Lazota.. I have placed them on viramix and antibiotics, now they are doing fine but their production still ranges between 18 and 19crates. As at today, they did also 19crates with a lot of shelless. Any idea or help will be highly appreciated.
Re: Starting A Poultry Farm (a Blog) by Eggcelent(m): 12:43am On Apr 12, 2015
nvgyh. It is obvious your birds have NCD. Do administer some antibiotics/vitamins for the required number of days. Leave a few days after the treatment, then re-administer the Lasota. I'll advise you get the vaccine from a source different from where you got the last one. Give vitamins for a few days more after the Lasota. Success

Eggcelent is right but I still need to ask u some few questions.... Because if u are having dis problem anytime u give dem lasota .....den it is a very big problem. Below are my questions

Are ur birds in cage or on d floor?
Since dey started laying have u gave dem lasota before.? Am not talking about d failed one. Is this ur first time in raising laying birds?

Re: Starting A Poultry Farm (a Blog) by jamp: 9:23pm On Apr 12, 2015
I have some birds that will be 14weeks by friday. The growth is not uniform. We want to sort them and give the smaller ones broiler starter to see if they will come up.

I hope this works.

I know some broiler farmers give more pkc to increase their weight. You can try that too.
