What do you expect? He is the incumbent and can only be defeated with joined forces...Votes were splits amongst his contenders, while few loyalist of his and nongovernment workers of the state voted for him...That was just enough!
the truth his, the election was not rigged, contestants evenly shared their strongholds...Akala..Ogbomosho, Ibadan-Ajimobi and Ladoja...Then people of okeogun and Oyo goes with Ajimobi and that was enough for him to win.
Had it been the oppositions joined forces, they would have won. Yes, larger percentage of OYO people may not want Ajimobi, but handful, that are not government workers wanted him and they voted for him.
Let's just join hands to move OYO forward...Majority votes have spoken

Leave these APC supporters alone....all what they want is for this country to be controlled by their party "just like that". If it were PDP that won,they will be shouting rigging,and their party chieftains will not even congratulate the PDP winner,while PDP do otherwise,APC lacks matureity,and I don't know what else they want affter securing the federal seat.

All fingers crossed watching their self acclaimed CHANGE.

People are not happy just because he sent those selling on the road parking. For progress to be made, some sacrifices must be made.

yes majority are not happy. The opposition saw that majority of ppl aren't happy with the gov and therefore they all wanted to take advantage of that, but instead of the opposition forming a strong unified force to defeat the incumbent, they each went to the polls differently thereby spliting the votes . Labour party and accord votes would have secured ajimobi defeat.
You are absolutely right,the 4 candidates were too strong there by sharing the votes and give Ajimobi lot of advantages

Isn't it depressing for oyo citizens that characters like Akala (tura ambassador) and Ladoja (uncle N500m) are still contending for the states top Job? We need better people to develop the hidden opportunities and potentials of the state not amala politics as it was being played then.
I just hope anoda fully baked oyo son shows up b4 the end of Ajimobis tenure.

I'm in Oyo state and only one winner can emerge and it's Ajimobi. I'm even surprised people voted for ladoja who did nothing when he was governor.

I live in Oyo State.
Ajimobi is a paparazzi government.
But Akala, Ladoja, Teslim and Makinde selfish interest cost the state another 4year of hardship.
They split the parties into groups
The masses are feeling the brunts of Ajimobi
Salaries are owned.
Pension are not paid
Workers are on temporary appointment
He employed them some month prior to election.
I feel the pain of my people
Poverty is at the highest level.
Ajimobi is for the rich
I am not an indigene and i dont work for the government.
But Oyo people are suffering.
Please and please dont quote me for ezpressing myself

The unfortunate thing with Oyo now is that there is no worthy governorship material among the candidates that contested.

Teslim Folarin and Akala are the worst of the candidates. Ladoja has proved not to be what he was thought to be and Makinde is a newcomer.

Where there was no selfish interest and people were determined to get rid of a non-performing governor, the other four would have stepped down for Makinde and pull their resources together to unseat Ajimobi.

Whether people are happy or not, Ajimobi (as much as I know he failed in his first term) will rule Oyo state for another four years that will probably be the worst in the history of Oyo state.

Even in churches people are happy i don't know where OP got his own news from......celebration on going in my area .Majority of Ibadan people are full of hates because they blive no one can rule them twice.This has changed and for good.Ibadan people have forgotten that Ibadan alone doesn't make up OYO as a State.Other LGA voted massively for AJimobi except Ogbomosho which is Akala's home.

The earlier the better you guys start embracing your fate or face the consequences.

Ajimobi has done better that his predecessors and other Local Government areas witness this that was why they voted for him.

Ibadan people na wa oooo

What do you mean by Majority of people are not happy? do you live in Oyo state and Vote on Saturday? well i did VOTE at oluyole and people are voting for Ajimobi with there true mind. I do not belong to any Party but can't you see the list of other candidate? voting for other would be a waste of VOTE.

Don't mind them jare...salary payment under Ajimobi is even far better compare to other past governors.Despite the fact that PDD at the central refuse to give allocation to APC states they still make sure things are balanced that wil change now since APC is now at the centre.

Ajimobi has done well he deserve to re elect again,he has transform oyo state and I believe he will do more,as regds to civil servant salary sincerely I m not hapi too and I think is a generally issue,osun benue and some other has the same issue but with d help of federal power all with d sorted

Problem of both present and pass governor in oyo state is that they don't know how to talk, starting from bola ige to lam adesina to ladoja to akala till now present governor, when ajumobi is abusing pensioner. And the ladoja principle is to pay only state worker no infrastructure, alao akala is to construct sub standard infrastructure,and clubbing, ajumobi own is trying, but he must learned how to talk to people and if care is not taking ajumobi may be the downfall of APC in oyo state
