sketcherJ:Please stop the lies, who are the majority (PDP, Accord and LP i guess) ? the people voted their choice. the votes was shared among the top 4 parties and APC happen to get superior vote. whoever is not happy should wait till 2019 to vote him out. Of all the good deeds the guy has done for Oyo whoever is ungrateful should hug Transformer. |

The point is civil servants are in for a tough ride ,and they know it that is why they are sad. But ppl who aren't govt workers have no worries and they are indifferent. I was talking to an accord party agent today and from all he said I knew they too realised their mistake .I like ajimobi for 2 things mainly whic are ,security and provision of free bus ride for students and subsidies rates for the general public . Can't wait to see the looks on civil servants faces at the state secretariat this morning. They must dance, smile and laugh and show happiness about his reelection even if they are not happy about it. |

And as I read through this thread...just SMH... Here I saw few people that really understood what's going on in the state...(Non partisan)... And many that are just bn deceived wt useless change slogan if not for the sole credible candidacy of GMB(some are beneficiary of Ajimobi's gov, some based their judgement on read news, some bn deluded with minor project they saw on display)... . . I wonder why a single head (compared to Millions that are suffering) will praise Ajimobi for anything in the state...even when foreigners testified that Oyo state had never had luck of any Governor...(Italian,Chinese,Lebanese,Egyptian,Korean,indian and Ivorian that I had met one way or the other in this state)... Anyways Ajimobi if God says you'll change...better...and if not keep on sweetmouthing ur people and b investing at high level for abroad with big boost for your wife coy (WAW).... . . Posterity will judge all.... |

hamzatkayode:nw, knuckleheady, ask your self this question, if you work for a month and you are not being paid until 4 or 5mths, how would you feel? has ajimobi stopped his own salary or those in HOA's salary for just a month? has his wife stopped her daily/weekly visit to the UK? Dude, think deep before u mount your hand on that keyboard or keypad to type, okay? |

alrahmanonline:The excuse of little from FG is non-material and deficient. Chief awolowo ran his government with revenue from agriculture why not the yoruba governor go heavily in agric. Even the oil is not from our area and nigeria is unstable country. Those yoruba governors should know that going into agric is necessary and there is no other way on that. |

Ajimobi won squarely. workers didn't vote him like you said but he got highest votes in the enlightened areas of ibadan like ibadan NW,SW and ibadan north but lost in ibadan less cities like Akinyele, ona ara, Egbeda, Lagelu.. and in other zones outside of ibadan he either came 2nd or 1st. 2nd in ogbomoso, 1st in oyo , oke ogun an ibarapa.. so how do you expect him to loose? coupled with the facts that ppl were swayed by the fact that APC at center will make it easier for oyo state to tap from the federal if we also voted APC |

MARKone:Leave the idio...ts! The only issue with Ajimobi is not managing the outstanding pension and gratuities saga well, but it will be daft to blame him entirely for the mess. He has done well in the face of rising wage bill and declining federal govt allocation |

| Re: Oyo State Governorship Result:majority Are Not Happy by MT: 11:05am On Apr 13, 2015 |
lakefist:This smirks of crass ignorance. Monthly allocation is statutory. PDP-led government would not REFUSE (as you claimed) to pay APC-controlled states while paying PDP. In the case of Oyo state, Ajimobi took a bond on behalf of the Oyo State government, and the FG Government, being a guarantor of the bond, has to deduct certain amount every month from Oyo state monthly allocation before it is released to the state. Thats why the monthly allocation in Oyo state has reduced (coupled with the fact that the oil price has fallen in the international market). You cant blame the Federal Government for that, you should be asking your Governor what he used the bond money to do and if there was a genuine need to take the bond in the first place. |

hamzatkayode:Bros, those states in d middlebelt like Plateau and Benue are on strike 'cos of minimum wage. it is understandable that they're not being paid 'cos of the "no work, no pay" rule. But in a state where d workers are working and still not paid their entitlements(kudos to those that have their own personal businesses). What do u expect them to eat, transport themselves to their place of work and support their families? Granite? Tar? Gutter sand or what? Oga, tell me! |

I think it is better we look at issues all round and move away from this socisl media hype and band wagoon opinions. As we are getting more educated, let's also try to be more informed. This will help us make decisions or form opinions that are close to reality. I will start by asking, did the schools just went bad during Ajimobi? whatever is bad now did not go bad overnight. Good and sustained governance is long years of performance handed down from tenure to tenure. we talk about destruction of house, what do they want, build the house in the line of flow of water and put the life of thousands in danger through flooding. if that structure is approved by government you can pull a case. They say stores on the road. For the fact that one government turned a blind eye and you move your table of articles to the main road does not make it right. There are approved set back for road in nigeria. If you are using the space in one government does not make it right. You are just trading on borrowed time. Edo, Lagos, Ogun and others cleared the street for decongestion of roads and futher development. In one of the post, somebody rightly described what has happened to govt allocation for sometime now. You would expect that allocation will be going up if the federal govt wants more people in jobs but it was cut. cost of barrel of oil is still down. This will limit what the government can do with the reduced allocation in the face of these huge underdevelopment. Right now, correct me if am wrong Ajimobi is collecting less than what previous govt were getting and they did't do this development. What is happing to most of the state is that they wanted to deliver the gains of democracy to the people but their plans were cut short due to the cut in allocation. They are being forced to look inwards to sustain it. We will still shout ah! we were not paying so and so tax in so and so era. What Ajimobi has done in this short time is impressive. I will agree he took on too many projects. It will seem like biting more than he can chew. Building and opening of drainage and road construction are heavy capital project that even the federal government is afraid of. He is no God. will not dissolve the challenges away just like that. Not paying workers and retirees is BAAADDD!!!! The people that are crying no money are those who think public money is for sharing. The previous administration has created the bad impression such that doing business in any govt office in Oyo is a real pain in the ass. The surprising thing is that people are crying along with them. They are calling for sharing of what belong to all of us and we think it is right. I live and do business in Oyo state. Constructive critizisim is good, let us do it with fact to bring the best out of our govt. I don't believe in bring down syndrom. You can not satisfy everyone anyway. Am not a card carying member of any party but I belong to the party of Good governance. We pray he continue from where he stopped. |

ibnew:Please I humbly beg to differ on the highlighted point. There is no excuse for people in position of governance. When anyone is elected into position of governance, he inherits both the assest and liabilities. Saying the rot in education was handed to his government is inexcusable. He chose to achieve total turnaround in governance during his manifesto. |

Same applies in kwara State wia all devt is Ltd 2 Ilorin @ d expense of others so much u find it difficult 2 call any other community a city in d whole of d state. |
| Re: Oyo State Governorship Result:majority Are Not Happy by Alary: 11:46am On Apr 13, 2015 |
Olofintoto:Hey , you your calculation is totally wrong . If u claimed that the total percentage of votes 63.73% don't want him back , then add his own (Ajimobi) percentage with the others and remove ladoja's percentage , that means 28.20% wants Ladoja to gorvern while 71.80 does not want him back and you can calculate for others too .so all in all Ajimobi still get the most popular votes that cut across every local govt. In the state . So you are wrong on that bro . Cheers ! |

See Ajimobi is the worst Gov da̶̲̥̅̊† Oyo state has ever had. He is not making the civil servant happy at all. He refused to pay the pensioners. Imagine his statement."Don't the pensioners have children to feed them.Did he ever pray to work and not earn his entitlement in life. I guess there were some rigging somewhere. |
