Just to put in perspective. $9 billion on Kerosene subsidy. That equates to $60,000 per Nigerian. Or 12 million naira per Nigerian in one year.
I wonder if that slime called Barcanista will redo his maths on Buhari's ability to pay Nigerian youths monthly stipend. If oil thieves can be stealing 1 million naira from every Nigerian every month, who says we cannot have 100k monthly allowance? And this is on kerosene subsidy alone. Minus state government stealing, minus NPA& NIMASA, minus Customs, etc.
We have very very wicked leaders.

U r right bro barcanista should come and see this,in fact he should be angrier because he's from south south

To be candid, this is not corruption. I now understand why GEJ said stealing is not corruption.

Sincerely, there should be a bigger word for this scandal. Maybe MEGALOMANIACCORRUPTOCRACY --- a brazen and crazy act of never-seen-before level of corruption.

Stealer Oduah's scandal is stealing.

Pension Fraud is Corruption.

This is definitely not corruption, but a sheer devilish act of bloodless murdering of Nigerians and a gang rap.ing of the Nigerian state.

how do you expect a president that all these happened under his nose to punish Stealer Oduah or the Pension Fraud actors or the Civil Service Ghost Workers culprits.

olapluto:

The key nail on GEJ's coffin here is the 'presidential directive'. He was fully in on this fraud.

On the contrary, that part just exonerated GEJ. He directed the kerosene subsidy be stopped, but the thieves in NNPC were still using that as an avenue to siphon money.

The rot in NNPC didn't start under GEJ. I remember a journalist some years back saying Yar'adua's death was fast tracked the day he decided to open the books of NNPC, cos Yar'adua received the shock of his life. A shock he never recovered from.

Trust me, it would take more than GMB to cleanse NNPC. NNPC is the biggest scam in Nigeria. It has always been. GEJ is just making us have a first hand view of the real picture. Something other administrations didn't do.

However, GEJ should receive his own share of the stick for allowing this happen under his nose. The same way every past leader should be probed and receive their own fair share.

These developments are disturbing...going through the comments and i'm just weak. More disturbing is this; what if PDP returned to power? This would have gone with the wind and our suffering would know no bounds, further crash of the naira, supposed subsidy payments continues, foreign reserve on a downward spiral.....
*sigh*

Shocking!
No, not really. undecided

The mind boggles over the wickedness of the Government, the full report would have been swept under the carpet if the current incumbent won. Largest oil revenues on record doesn't tally with infrastructures, standard of living on ground.
To think, they proudly came out to declare only $1.4 billion was unremited.

Aunt Ngozi I have the most pity for...

Yes this would've been swept under without as much as a whimper.

In praise of god of digital technology which had precluded outrageous 'moonslide' numbers, PVC totally wrongfooted PDP initial rigging plans. At least long enough before manual switch from card readers.

Just imagining an eventual PDP 'slim' victory that would've been ascribed to the 'will of God' in typical NIG fashion, still gives me 'daymares'. The country barely dodged a bullet. Per the future outcome of these emerging revelations, the street's watching, courtesy mobile phones unlike before.
What's currently good for Brazillians/Petrobras must be good for Nigerians/NNPC

Keep calm. I'm actually from ND too, Warri to be precise. Call a spade a spade, what this administration did is wrong. That other administrations did it too doesn't make it right. It actually makes it worse because these ND people at the top are people that know our plight down here and are even supposed to pursue our rapid development.
If you're betrayed by a colleague or a blood brother, which will hurt you the most?
