Lilian woke up at about 7:35am. She looked around trying to recollect but she couldnt.
She looked around and was astounded at the beauty of where she was. She was lying on a king sized bed covered with immaculate white sheet. She saw a large walk in wardrobe and double sized windows at two corners of the room. The room was painted golden yellow with blue drapes rising from the ceiling to the floor. As its ceiling were high,the drapes gave the room an exotic look.
"you are awake" lilian remembered that voice. She turned to see leo sitting on a white sofa looking sternly at her.
"uh uh yeah. What happened?" she asked "why am i here?"
"you dont remember" leo said getting up.
Lilian nodded.
"you were almost rapped!"there was anger in his voice.
" What!" then everything came flooding back. The man, the drink, the room, her sister.......
"are you better now" leo asked. His anger had been replaced with a deep concern.
"uhm yeah i think" lilian replied puzzled "how did you know i was there?"
"hmmm i called Mara earlier to check on you since you didnt pick my call and she told me you went to a party with your sister...."
"and you followed me?"lilian asked.
"uhm ya. Your sister is not to be trus...uhm nothing. I uhm lets just forget about that"leo stammered.
"where am i?"lilian asked.
''my room. I brought you here"leo answered in relief of the change of subject.
"oh i see" she surveyed the room again from its high ceiling to its tiled floor. The room smelt of taste and wealth. It was heaven on earth.
"so what do you want to eat" leo asked.
"uhm nothing. I want to go home my mum and dad will be furious" lilian said trying to get up. Leo helped her.
"are you sure you okay?" leo asked with doubt. Lilian simply nodded as she put on her shoes. Faith must be with her bag since she left it on her seat at the party.
"uh ok. Let me get my phone" leo said heading to the double door
"where is it?"
"in a guest room. I slept there" he walked off coming back shortly to see lilian ready.
"lets go" he said leading her to a ferrari 458 spyder.
"your car?" lilian asked raising an eyebrow. Leo shrugged.
It was a 15 minutes journey to Lilian's house.
"thanks for saving me leo. I appreciate it" lilian said smiling coyly. She was at the door now.
"the pleasure is mine lilian. I wont forgive my self if he rapped you"
"and why is that. It's my fault"
"for not being there to protect you wen you needed me" leo answered as he looked at lilians eyes and smiled. "lets go inside. I want to meet your parents"
she opened the door to see faith on the sofa watchin tv. Her mum was furiously walking around with her phone on her ears and her dad was reading a newspaper.
"LILIAN!" mrs Dan shouted as ran to hug her daughter. Mr dan looked up with a stern look and faith stared at Leo.
"my God. Lilian what happened" Mrs dan exclaimed. She noticed leo who immeditely introduced himself.
"gooday ma am leo"
" how re you son"
"fine ma"leo answered "good morning sir" he greeted Mr Dan who nodded and shook his hand.
"thanks for saving her leo. Faith told me everything" Mr dan said smiling.
Leo looked at faith who smiled at him but did not smile back.
"ok sir. I must be on my way now sir" leo said
"thanks once again. Bye" leo nodded an he opened the door. He waved at lilian who waved back.
'That was close' lilian thought as she smiled at faith gratefully.

"hello sam was the deed done?" faith asked curiously on phone.
"am sorry faith. Someone saved her before i could do anything" the receiver answered. Faith's face fell.
"what sort of incompetence is that. I gave you a work to do and you are here....."
"its not my fault! I said a guy saved her"the man cut her off"by the way why do you want to do that to your own sister?"
"she is not my sis...... Anyway thats not your business" faith hung up.
Faith was dissapointed but she could do nothing.
She had seen Leo at the party when he stormed in with annoyance. He was really furious as he searched the party for Lilian and that was just the time sam slumped Lilian on his shoulders and walked upstairs. Leo's eyes caught them and he furiously made his way to them when she dared to stop him. She wanted to delay him to give sam time but with the evil glare he gave her, she let go.
Immediately leo left, she took her bag and lilian's too and exited the party. She knew she had to make up a story to her parents so as not to be suspected.
She told them that lilian was involved in a minor accident and was taken to the hospital by a man. She also said she went to the hospital too but was told by the man to go home that he would bring lilian home the next day as he knew her.
So when leo came, her parents thought it was the man she told them about and she thanked her lucky stars that leo and lilian didnt try to elaborate.
She knew the plan would probably fail but that was not an excuse as she dimmed it fit to unleach her anger on the man. She knew she would have to talk to Lilian before she let the cat out of the bag. With that she stormed to lilians room.
She met Lilian answering a call.
"it was probably Leo" faith thought as her anger boiled. She was about to go when she heard lilian's voice.
"hey faith" she turned to see lilian smiling at her after pocketing her phone.
"yeah lilian. You fine now?" faith asked as she sat down on the bed. She was trying to act cool.
"yes i am. I cant thank you enough" lilian said sitting down too.
"oh that. Thats why am here. You see i lied to dad. I told them that u were involved in a minor accident so if they ask you just pretend ok?"
"you what?. Why did you tell them that?"
"what? You want me to tell them that you went to a party and suddenly got missing" faith's voice was rising. Lilian lowered her head.
Faith was right.
" am sori. Thanks faith" she gave a sly smile
"you are welcome. By the way who were you talking to"faith knew she was not supposed to ask but she was curious.
"oh that. It was leo. His birthday i coming up"lilian's eye brightened up.
"oh. When is it?" faith asked.
" that the best part. Its on 14 febuary" lilian answered grining from ear to ear but soon her smiled vanished "but hes travelling to the us the following day. For his education.
"i seee" faith said absentmindedly"well ave got to go ok? Bye" she said standing up.
Lilian nodded as faith made her way to the door.

as she went to take her shower.

" mara what do you get for a guy that has everything" lilian asked. She was at mara's place. The had just finished shopping and lilian decided to stay at Mara's place a bit.
"ly ave been thinking of that o" mara replied"am just confused "
"me too. Do you have anything in mind?"
"not really. But leo said he does not want to celebrate it. At least thats what jude told me"
"but why"
"according to jude. Last year's own was a disaster as the ladies that came almost killed him" mara chuckled as she went to put the Tv on.
"Where is your phone. I want to take some videos and musics" mara asked.
" it is with my sister. She said she needs it cause her battery is low"
"ok"
"so what will he do?"
"dont know. Jude refused to tell me"mara shrugged. Just the her phone rang "speak of the devil" she picked it
"hy jude" after a minute she said "am coming".
Lilian stood up.
"i have to go babe" she said taking her bag
"ok wait for me. Am going out too" mara went inside and took her purse and offed the tv

When faith got Lilian's phone, she immediately scrolled to her contacts, deleted Leo's number then typed in a new number and saved it with leo's name. She knew that lilian would not know since she wasnt good in cramming numbers.
Satisfied, she smirked
"this is going to be fun" she said to herself.
The door opened and in came lilian carrying two shopping bags.
"you are back!"faith said.
"yeah. Are you through with the phone" she said pointing at her phone.
"yes thank you"faith said handing her her phone. Lilian nodded as took it and went to her room.
In her room, she dropped the bags and went to shower. After that, she wore another cloth and picked her phone. To her suprise the battery was still full. She decided to call leo. He picked at first ring.
"hello leo"she said lying down on her bed.
"who is this?"that was a girl's voice. Lilian looked at her screen puzzled. It was leo's name and number or so she thought.
"uhm is this Leo"she asked
"No! Is his girlfriend"the girl said "who are you?"
"excuse me? His girlfriend?"lilian shook as she held her phone tight.
"yeah. Now who are you?" the girl asked
"eh uhm i...." lilian could not talk.
"excuse me please"the girl said as she could out in a loud voice "leo darling be fast. Am feeling Hot Again".
That was it! Lilian hung up as she broke into tears.
How could Leo do this to her?
What had she done wrong?
She was crying furiously when Faith came inside
"sis whats wrong" faith said as she rushed to her.
Lilian could not speak. She was too hurt to speak. But she pointed her phone. Faith picked it.
"what happened?"faith asked as she secretely went to the call log. She saw that lilian had called Leo and smiled inwardly.
"leo .....leo....he..,leo....has..,a...
another ....girlf....rie...nd"lilian stammered admist tears.
"WHAT!" faith shouted "how is that possible?"she asked
lilian could not answer. She was crying. Seeing this, faith began.
"i told you never to trust him didnt i?. A guy like leo can never have a gf. He has lots of them that are just his intimacy gadgets and you know why? Cause he has everything a girl would ever need and you are just an average girl that could add nothing to him! Hes a player and heartbreaker and can never fall in love!" faith shouted " Get that into your head!" with that she stormed out.
Lilian continued crying till she fell asleep.

It was the 17th of febuary and Lilian could be seen roaming around the streets of lagos under the heavy rain.
She could not find her way home as it was arounp 10pm. She was coming back from her aunty's place when the rain started and since it was her first time visiting her aunty, she was not very familiar with the routes. She had waited for the rain for close to three hours but the rain was too sturbborn so she decided to brave it an go home but to her dismay she didnt know where she war.
Her clothes were soaked to her skin and she was crying as she thought of the events of the last few days.. She had switched her phone off because she didnt want to talk to anyone especially Mara and Jude. She knew leo must have travelled out and she had not gotten over the heartbreak not to talk of her sister who made matter worse by constantly reminding her of Leo...........
"Puuuuuuuh" that was a car horn. Lilian looked back to see a white limousine coming her way with its headlights on. She was in the middle of the road, so shifted to the left side of the road to let the car pass.
The limousine swerved its way past her but then slowed down and suddenly stopped.
Lilian's heart was beating furiously as she was thinking of what to do. Her first thought was to run away but she cancelled it. She was getting neare as her heart kept on pounding.
She got to the first left window shivering furiously. The window was down which made it possible to see a not too clear male face.
"Lilian?" came a rich baritone voice from the car. Lilian looked at the owner of the voice with suprise and was shocked.
"LEO!"
"LILIAN!" as if that was a confirmation, he opened the car door "oh my God lilian. What happened to you. Come in!"
Every thing came flooding back to Lilian and stream of tears came running down her face. She tried pushing Leo who was holding her hand and dragging her into the car.
"leave me alone Leo. I hate you!" Lilian cried out.
Leo stopped suddenly and looked at her in shock "wh....hat did you say?"
"you heard me! Let me go!" Lilian screamed "you think you can play with my heart? You are a beast!" as if it was a confirmation of the last statement, thunder struck and the rain became heavier.
"please come inside. I dont know what you are talking about...." he was confused
"am not going anywhere with you......"
"hm do you want to die in the rain or catch a cold? Besides you do not look like you know where you are going" Leo held her hand again but this time firmly and tried to carry her into the car but she was sturbborn.
"come on Lilian. This rain wont stop till tomorrow" it was as if the spell on Lilian was broken because she gave up struggling and entered the car with him. She had no other option and he was right afterall.
He motioned the driver to move which he did.
