I don't even understand his arguments. After collecting US Passports, can't we collect Nigerian passport for our kids? Or what is now the definition of dual nationality if not having the two passports? Please school me o!
I quoted your Presidency comment and read my response you'll get tha baseline, but since he said it has been amended I would like to have a link

can you quote the amended on cos the one online shows 1999
you can go and read up the as amended or rather talk to another lawyer, I don't have a soft copy on this phone.

yes you can collect nigerian passport for your baby because it is allowed, which means your baby has a dual nationality
that's is not my stand. I am aware they can get dual citizenship. Even in U.S. when you want to run for office you have to denounce your nigerian citizenship and sometimes some government positions. Now, I need a link that justify a dual citizen ship holder from running for office without denouncing the other. Thanks

You may notify them about the change in destination,we did before my wife travelled but in your case I don't think it's compulsory. The change of intent letter should cover all that. Explain yourself if questioned at the border.

Thanks.

Okay my hospital didn't give me that. They initially gave me a fit to fly and a letter which stated. my LMP, EDD and what injections I had taken (Tetanus and Fansidar). I had to beg them to include my scan breakdown and one lab result (which they attached a photocopy). They didn't order a papsmear till I had a case of what I suspected was Sciatica and the results were not included with what they gave me. Yes they knew I was travelling and insisted all I needed was the initial 2 letters until I spoke to one of the doctors privately. I wonder why they didn't give me the full records though and they made me pay for them... sad
Naija hospital and money sha. The better you port here ASAP

I think he is saying one can obtain dual citizenship but might have to denounce one in special conditions. Eg; when vying for the office of the President in Nigeria, you have to denounce your US citizenship. Also, one will have to denounce Nigerian citizenship to be a military personnel in the US.

Slim, did I get you right?
