you have not experienced it before as you profess yet are against it.. undecided

I said what is your opinion on marriage settlement post divorce
the sexes are equal..no?
so why should a man pay the woman post divorce (im not referring to child support) or a woman doing same (for the Madonna-guy Ritchie crew tongue)
My opinion? it depends if the woman is a feminist and clamour for equality.

If she does, they should go their seperate way without paying it.

If she doesn't, the man should pay the darn thing.

You can start by refusing any such thing as dowry or brode price or bridal list or whatever. Then on the wedding day you may refuses to kneel and serve him palmwine or cake or meat or whatever; alternatively, you may insist that you both kneel and serve each other. After that, you will be taken seriously, not before.
In my village, those things are just traditional rite not misogyny.

We are not from the same place. undecided

We can wear men outfits.

You men should attain equality with us by wearing skirt and bra.

Don't get sentimental coogar. Some of your brothers already wear skirts and bras whether still in the closet or outside the closet, go and ask charley boy or denrele, so we have already crossed that bridge abeg. Now is the time to ban you from showing me your 39 A cup breasts abeg. grin grin grin

This is an equality issue and as a conservative prude I really do not want to see another woman or man's chest randomly. grin
1, 2) Western men should be told to cover up instead rather than Western women not covering up. That was their culture, otherwise they are hypocrites for campaigning for nipple freedom since they insinuated African women as primitive for being bare-chested, unless they are now the primitive ones. Society dictates to the media and not the other way round. Excessive sexual freedom does nothing for society rather you unleash deviants with loose morals to the society.
This makes no sense whatsoever. grin

It was western culture for men to cover up?
Please elucidate on this, because men have always walked around bare-chested last time I checked.

Who exactly are the hypocrites? Feminists (females) right?
Because they're the ones campaigning for this as far as I can tell. gringrin

3) Brea.sts were sexualized by societies who covered up the chest area, primarily the white man. And Africa was known as a sexual hot-spot to the white man due to the nudity in Africa. Such nude liberties cannot even work in Africa today, because African minds have been polluted already.
If that first part makes no sense, this part is total and complete horse-shiit. cheesy

Africa a sexual hot-spot? You don't mean it.
Is this the same Africa that is considered primitive to the white man according to you some paragraphs ago?

Do you think Men should open the door for a female? Do you think a woman should/can propose to a man
Do you believe in Chivalry, Do you think a man should stand up for a female or help her with heavy loads?

Do you think Serena Williams should play against men like Rafa Nadal?
Do you think men and women sport should be merged so they can compete equally
Do you think women should be allowed to go to warfront
hmn, the answers to those posers are self indicting to the very idea of feminism.

Do Nigerian men open door for woman? lmao.
well, i believe anyone should do it out of respect irregardless of gender involved.

Anyone that feels so.

Yes, marriage is union of two people.

Out of generosity.
Some stronger women also help older men, older women and weaker women.

Lmao! it's based on gender, biko.
it doesn't mean female and weaker to men.
I can bet my last kobo, that Serena will beat some men in lawn tennis and it doesn't make them less equal to serena.
I believe that men are different from women.

Trust me, no NL female will ever admit to personally experiencing misogyny in the real world.

That would surely be a buzz kill on the notion they throw around here about being surrounded by only good men... misogynists and sexists only exist on NL, they know no one like that in real life. gringrin

Next time dust your history books before you ever, ever quote me.
And Yesssssssssss, White men were sleeping with the so-called primitive African women. Hypocritical of them right? Absolutely!
Africa was what we would call today as a sexual hot-spot for them, they did not have such liberties in their own societies, but took such liberties in Africa and looked forward to their expeditions because of the free sex. It was so damning to the throne that it had to be put into law they should never have any sexual relationships with the primitive natives.

This is recorded.

Because these Western ones have 'bellefull'. In Africa we have bigger female issues to fry, like how we can reduce in female illiteracy, preventing Yerima from marrying our little daughters, to name a few.

The real problem is that some of these NL females just hate that we don't type things they like more often, the alternative is to go aggressive by calling us misogynists and sexists. grin

There are many factors, economic and enlightenment are one of them as you say. I would include tradition/cultural/religious practices especially in Northern Nigeria. I would also include home bringing. In the South, we see good statistics for girl literacy but there is a reliance of men being the providers so 'me as a woman do not need to do so much.' Also if we are interested in empowering the girls, are the boys ready for such empowerment? Because what I've found out is that many women have been empowered, but many men do not respond favorably to these empowerment and feel threatened especially in the arenas of family and relationships. Female empowerment is rubbish if the men are no taught to adapt to these changes in societal norms.
