The command center is not the military headquarters. Its a segment of it that communicates with the foot soldiers at war. Always think before you post!

That is a presidencial order..The commander in Chief have spoken..let us see how the defence chiefs can stay in Maiduguri and deny the front line fighters armunition to fight ..ones they know their lives are in danger , they will buy necessary equipment to fight Book Haram to standstill.. The General knows his game plan very well

I thought as much. Is it necessary to relocate a military command headquarters just to combat insurgents? I have never seen where that has been done in the world. There is something fishy about his military strategy. We shouldn't forget this is a former military dictator and possibly a Boko Haram sympathizer in the past!

Wrong move.

Its like a game of chess, you don't gamble with your queen.

Boko haram has enough motivation and once they take it down, we're back to zero.

Anything can happen.

I understand the President's intention, to move the pot bellied generals closer to the action, but it could boomerang.

Anything is possible, and taking the CC down is possible for boko haram.

Mr. Chess player, Command Centre is not Force headquarters oh...

a direct ploy to restablish Northern domination of Nigeria military.. soon he will relocate the Navy to Lake chad ..with all the military hardwares in his backyard he wont fear coup

Your bigotry won't just let you look at issues intellectually. Always making certainties out perhaps's. This is a democratic regime, let it go down into your gloryhole! The command center has been in Abuja since BH unleashed its menace and nothing has changed but gallop victories of winnings and losses. Strategically, moving the center to BH would boost intelligence gathering and finding BHs true north (strong huts), placing the military ahead of them.

If this fails, then a new strategy would have to come to play. But for now, its good news.

This is not gambling with the queen, you can chastise your opponent with her coming out and with strategic positioning of your bishop and night, trust me you are about to mate.

People wey no sabi play chess dey form 'grandmaster'.

That move by GMB is what we call 'strategic positioning' -- you can call it active threat/or clear and present danger to the opposition.

Command center is not even the 'Queen' in this scenario; more like a Knight/Bishop.

I don't think it is because putting the command center in close contact with zero ground might cause attacks on military installations and seize more weapons. I hope those who have been messing with military strategies and giving out secret information during GEJ administration is not going to do the same thing during Buhari's tenure. What an excuse from you to exonerate him!
