After this post, I think we're done here!

I challenge you to go read that post to the Nepalese survivors of the last earthquake...
Or the victims of the peaceful religious violence in the Middle east...
Or the displaced Palestinians who were forcefully ejected from their ancestral lands where they've been living for centuries...before the peaceful and loving sons of Judah came to enforce the mandates of their sky daddy...
I challenge you to read that to the many suffering from ailments of mind and body in many hospitals across the world...maybe it will offer them some succor...
I challenge you to read that to the victims of rape, ethnic cleansing, genocide and other inhumanities...

When I encounter European and American atheists, I'm not so shocked. But when I see African atheists, I'm amazed by their folly given the everyday manifestation of demonic and evil spirits in this part of the globe.

Y'all atheist try to look smart by talking about science and logic in the analysis of God's existence. Fine, you haven't seen God, neither have I. But didn't your science and logic tell you that for every action, there's an "equal and opposite" reaction? And if any of you dare deny you haven't encountered evil spirits and their works, or at least, you can't acknowledge their existence, you know within you that you're deceiving yourself.

That said, what is the opposite of evil spirits which Christians believe their source of power is the Devil?
We Christians refer to that being as God but he's not equal to the devil, he reigns supreme over everyone and everything, just the same way satanists believe the devil reigns supreme.

If you're are an atheist, contact me and I'll introduce you to a friend who's a spiritualist. By the time he's done with you, you'll definitely believe in God. You all just need more proof to believe and I hope you get more than enough proof soon.

Lmao!!! Well spoken. Let those who need proof indicate.

Yeah right. Typical theist mindset. Anyone who breaks ranks with you folks was never part of you. 'You were never part of us!' They scream. The interpretation of that is such a person was never really indoctrinated fully with the garbage from either of the so called 'Holy books'. How dare one has the chutzpah to break ranks with what is generally considered normal? Such a person was never really part of us in the first place.
It is the same idiosyncrasy you apply amongst yourselves. It is always the other guy that is not a true Christian,it is always the other pastor that is not a true man of god,it is always the other denomination that is preaching the false doctrine,it is always someone else that has his biblical interpretations twisted,it is always somebody else that is a churchgoer and not a true christian. But you,no not you. You're an epitome of everything a Christian should be,heaven bound and all..sigh

There is a relationship between myself and a picture of me. Do you now agree that there is a correlation between religion and God?

Ok
Now there is a relationship between you and your picture. One is naturally made & the other is man made. You could explain the making of one which is your picture but the making of your actual self is something you will still never fully comprehend till you die.

So why you could easily understand religion, the concept of God on the other hand will forever remain a subject of study as you can never fully understand His workings, & curiosity or doubt does not mean that you don't believe His existence you're simply curious

Get off your high horse of ignorance!

If you're talking of "ignorance", am fully aware of all natural disasters and unfortunate happenings that people suffer daily. These occurrences have partial relation with the belief that God exists. There are people who haven't been around any of that, what would you say they think of God's existence? If the above mentioned situations are your measure of God being real or not then it's your choice. Sorry to say but from the angle you're judging, you're not totally open minded. We can argue and argue till infinity about this and we'd still not be satisfied with each others findings. My truth is my truth and your truth is your truth, that my truth exists doesn't make your truth a lie nor mine vice versa!

You are jumping all over the place. Firstly, you have not established that this God exists. Man is made up of cells which came from other humans who came from other humans.

Do I know the origin of first life? No, but some people are curiously investigating it. However, to attribute this origin to an unseen imagination called God is laughable

I agree with this too but its necessary that you try and see things from that other guys point of view. There is always going to be a universal curiosity over the origin of existence and until either theists or atheists are able to prove beyond reasonable doubt each other's position there will continue to be unending arguments and discussion over the issue.

Its safe to say that neither position is correct at this point

Actually the laughable things here are your explanation of yourself as cells from other cells & that's all to you? So a man is simply a cell from other cells? You guys should first try and explain man. No science is yet able to explain man but some fellows who are stock on ponderings think they can explain God. It is the height of folly.

If you can explain your being then and only then would you be at least able to get a grip t the concept of God. But as long As you can only explain your being as cells, then I say to you and whoever thought you that that you fellows lack elementary knowledge

So how do you explain all the natural disasters and unfortunate happenings that people suffer not just daily...but has been suffering from time immemorial?
Whether God exists or not for me is a chasing after the wind...pointless at the end of the day.
I don't really care as long as you don't equate your own brand of "God" as the only valid version.

If the sky daddy evangelists and preachers will be this straightforward and honest...then maybe the world would have been saved a lot
of heartache, inquisitions and other ills. True bro...its YOUR TRUTH and no one else's. Can't fault that.
Trouble arises when you tag folks who differ in opinion as "atheists", "pagans" and the like.
Or promise them an eternity in some purgatory or hell prepared by your loving sky daddy for those who do not embrace YOUR TRUTH.
That is what open-mindedness means...not expecting me to throw away reason for some sentimental feel good nonsense.
If it was meant as a joke then I could understand, but that nonsensical write-up is not for thinking men...in my opinion.
Neither does it address real life issues...hence my challenge to you.

In my opinion, if it does not address real issues that people like you and me face the world over...its better tagged as an attempt at comedy.
Maybe you could have clarified that you were just trying to lighten up the mood.

I'd say you are correct in the sense that agnosticism is the only truly rational position. I'm agnostic atheist: I can't prove the existence or inexistence of god but my opinion is that there is no god.

I'd rather believe in a God whether allah, Jehovah, Orunmila or amadiaoha and life after death ... If I get eternity after death or re-incarnation then I thank my God.... And if everything goes dark and blank after death... Then I have no regret still.... Believe in something even if u have to believe in d devil... Believe than being an atheist....

My point is simple

I say & maintain that there is no being capable of conceiving the idea that there is no God.

I take the atheists for an instance
They are a more believers in God as anyone could be. Because for you to doubt the existence of God you must first and foremost conceive the idea of His existence. It is not possible to doubt the existence of something without first conceiving its existence.

'Cogito ergo sum' it is said.
I think therefore I am.

For the fact that one must necessarily have conceived an idea before his curiousity sets in means that that very idea first of all existed before the existence of your doubt.

P.S.

I believe you have enjoyed the conversation. And if so, you’ll probably want your friends /colleagues to enjoy the same, won’t you?

Forward this to increase their knowledge … or FAITH.

By the way, that student was EINSTEIN

LOL. This is the pinnacle of stupid. Einstein was not Christian, he was Jewish!

He was not religious, though he did not call himself an atheist, rather he preferred agnostic or pantheistic.

This is what Einstein wrote about his religious belief in 1954: "It was, of course, a lie what you read about my religious convictions, a lie which is being systematically repeated. I do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly. If something is in me which can be called religious then it is the unbounded admiration for the structure of the world so far as our science can reveal it"

In 1945 Guy Raner, Jr. wrote a letter to Einstein, asking him if it was true that a Jesuit priest had caused Einstein to convert from atheism. Einstein replied, "I have never talked to a Jesuit priest in my life and I am astonished by the audacity to tell such lies about me. From the viewpoint of a Jesuit priest I am, of course, and have always been an atheist. ... It is always misleading to use anthropomorphical concepts in dealing with things outside the human sphere—childish analogies. We have to admire in humility the beautiful harmony of the structure of this world—as far as we can grasp it, and that is all."

In a 1950 letter to M. Berkowitz, Einstein stated that "My position concerning God is that of an agnostic. I am convinced that a vivid consciousness of the primary importance of moral principles for the betterment and ennoblement of life does not need the idea of a law-giver, especially a law-giver who works on the basis of reward and punishment."

....Einstein sent Gutkind a letter in response and wrote, "The word God is for me nothing more than the expression and product of human weaknesses, the Bible a collection of honourable, but still primitive legends. No interpretation no matter how subtle can (for me) change this. These subtilised interpretations are highly manifold according to their nature and have almost nothing to do with the original text."

The Year God Died

So God died, and was laid to rest. Then, as expected, hell broke loose.

Satan turned the world upside-down. We ate frogs as food, and it was just one frog a week.

We had no water - not even our urine- for drinking. We drank our tears.

Demons taught us in schools without books. Our classes held in the dark. The sun was nowhere.

Chickens lived longer than children. Corpses were like grains of sand. Death was a friend.

So many more I cannot tell.

Pause. Breathe in. Breath out.

There is no such year. It has not been, and will not be.

My friend, God is not dead. He is still very much in charge!
Nice poem.HOWLING!...GOD IS Impeccable...Ancient of days.

How can there be anything called God believed to be the creator of this vast universe? Surely, if there is anything to be tagged creator it can never be the god of the Bible or the Koran.

BTW look how far the stars are to the earth! How can anything matter? We are microbes on a grain of sand. Life is a st.pid, insignificant accident and when it is over we just dead meats. Dead meats!!!

No sweetheart.
Life matters...thats why you're here in the first place...to make a difference...to leave your footprints on the sands of time.
There is an unbroken lineage from ages unknown that produced your father and mother who gave birth to you.
There was a plan for that in the whole scheme of nature.
Look at the wonder of flower leaves, colorful birds chirping away, a beautiful sunset and the waves crashing on the shores.
Or even the beauty of a young fresh damsel like you cool
It's the product of intelligent design...whether its the design of some benevolent malevolent sky daddy is not clear to me.

Life is a wonder...and for a lot of us...a mystery.
Its the journey of exploring and unravelling that is called life.
There might be no end to the wonders of life and no limits to what man is capable of...both good and evil.
Who knows?

Do you know the difference between us, i dont claim to know how the universe started. . but i wouldn't let your superstitious claim hold sway without proof.

You are the one claiming a deity created the universe, i am asking you to pin point the one that did and substantiate ur claim with proof.

But since you cant, it remains a claim until you can prove it...

b.) Since you argue the universe must have a creator, then this creator too must also have a creator, which in turn must also have another creator and so it keeps going.
