Thanks shelly you have been so helpful. I did not even ask about the passport. They just said if I want return then an adult has to also make the trip. I am just confused. The return ticket is like 118 dollars but it must be tied to an adult ticket. Did you book return for just your infant? I will call them back concerning the passport atleast to avoid any drama on the day of travel
I got my ticket through an agent but they told me from beginning that they don't handle inclusion of infant ticket that I have to call the airline for that when I am ready and I don't really know the class of ticket I've got

How many times I go tell una. Click on my posts for acrobatic way of getting infant tix as return for less. grin

My dear, we are fine and y'all? One of us here admonished me for bringing my native food to America when I could have bought them in the USA. She said stock fish is cheaper in Oakland than in Naija. I don't know if everyone is going to Oakland and if it was an offense for me to have brought my native

Lol Oakland is a village oh...filled with nigerians. In fact it's like Nsukka lol...the houses too and all that graffiti everywhere. So yea definitely naija food will be plenty and cheap there. Was there 2 yrs ago to visit a friend and I thought I had traveled to Nsukka not yankee. Lol

Buhahahahahahaha! You can imagine! Because I want to buy cheaper Naija food in Yankee, I will have to fly down to 'Oyinbo' market of Oakland? Thanks dear. That's how some people confuse others here.

Not everyone stays with hosts and hostesses. So nothing beats eating my native meal twice a day. I have also visited the so called African shop here in El Paso to buy Maggi, it's not everything you want you see. But they are trying sha! I'm so glad my mum bought our food in Naija jare and I encourage any mum coming to bring as much as you can carry.

We are doing fine, your own case is even different cos you are supposed to be self sufficient, mine is easier..

I'm staying with family (who are doing fine & don't need nothing from me)who will come pick me up at the airport, chauffeur me to maybe one or two vists(schedule permitting) & with my 23kg x 2 baggage allowance I'm supposed to come in empty handed with the "shebi una say everything dey & e cheap"?... lipsrsealed

No can't do, I wasn't raised by savages!! wink

No way! This is the first time I'm staying outside my in law's home in the US. I buy lots of Nigerian food for them and it makes them very happy. At least , that's all I could do and they would accept. Any other thing is a no no.

You nor go waka loss sontin!! My exact point!
I don't know what is in knorr, grade A garri ijebu, eja gbigbe, groudnut, kilishi & attacment that makes them so stoked.

I made giant fried peppered snail last travel & my people could barely contain their glee & my DH had to praise my resourcefulness.

The woman of the house even gossiped about another family member who obeyed their "don't bother" admonition & we laughed!!

I tell friends & also ingrain in my kids not to go visit anyone empty handed, its animals that do it.

Hi all. Are there any Oct moms that are planning on using Dresparati in elpaso? I'm planning to be there by September and will love to get to know any moms to be. I'm also planning on staying at His grace lodge and will be happy to get any information about anyone's past experience. I don't see a lot of Oct moms here though

@modath, way to go. They know where African shops are but they don't get all that they want from it. Whenever I go visiting, you will see the long list of Naija food I get for them. They are just happy when you come with such things for them.

Hello modath, just saw this post and realized it was my post that was actually taken down. I'm in no way trying to place an advert on this thread. And yes it's the same pheonix, Arizona package that was placed up on the thread. I saved the link for future purpose and just recently decide to find out if it was legit.

It's really funny how we just judge ppl. This is my first pregnancy and only came here to get support like every other. I made this enquiry cos my previous post in know of birth options in pennyslvania got no response and decided to look into other options. Yes Modath! It was innocently placed.
modath:

Ok, I just got what you are saying, the one I saw in the morning is not that one that's usualy up the thread about paying 7,500$ for package, this one was "innocently" placed earlier today & had a link to help him/her confirm if its ok to use. cheesy

Hi Beryl, Do you have a Doctor your planning to use yet?

I plan to use DCMH, they have a self pay plan of 7,500 all inclusive. 6k for hospital and 1.5k Dr. Have not gotten one yet cos you have to pay the hospital bill before you're assingned one. I'll do that when I get there, don't want to make any payments from here and hear tori later.
Only problem is it's about an hour drive from Wilmington. St Francis and Christiana hospital are quite expensive.
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 2 by modath(f): 8:29pm On Jun 17, 2015
@Amy20,
If the AD wasn't legit, the mods will not allow the ad to run, you could just have asked if it was genuine like the way folks ask about Dr Esparati, soulcare concierge, His grace lodge etc...wthout attaching a link.,

Its not judging, it was an honest reaction as evidenced by justwise taking down the post ..sorry if you feel slighted.

Why bother to carry all these from Nigeria when you can get them from an African store here in the States? Heard stock fish is even cheaper here than in Nigeria!

Enjoy your meal jare. At least, you can eat your naija food daily than weekly when you are at the kind mercy of your host.

My dear, I be no wan waste my 23kg and moreover it's cheaper in Nigeria than here.

Hello peeps,

I'm actually a silent reader and I enjoy reading dis topic over and over again.

I got my visa in July 2013 but I didn't say dat I was preggy cos d VO didn't ask. I had my baby and came back home. I also used d visa like 2wks ago on vacation to increase my chances at renewal and I wasn't even questioned at Atlanta POE at all, am back home now.

Now my question is, wat are my chances of getting a renewal cos I intend to apply with my hubby and kids for vacation. I paid all my bills and I have confirmation of full payment from d hospital and Doctor.

Awaiting your candid advise please.

Thanks.

I don't really think you have any problem. You had your baby and paid all. You also went on holiday and you are back. You are good to apply
