sorry. just leave igbos to go, no need for long talk.

Your greediness is what holds you back from actualizing Biafra. Ojukwu would have had Biafra if he wasn't greedy and attempting to expand Biafra beyond Iboland.

Same reason you are held back now, greed! ...your brothers who erroneously went and sunk millions of investments into immovable properties outside Iboland are stuck and can't get those properties out. So the choise is between the property and supporting Biafra, they choose property and say fvk Biafra. Thats your problem....greed!

The word Biafra is a blessing to Seun 18 pages. Truth remains that most of those that agitate for Biafra are diasporians and those who do not know the stake and benefit the Igboman has in Nigeria.

In reality Ibos want to coexist because Nigeria is a big outlet and produces economic sustenance to their livelihoods, and quality of life. Their disadvantage is political.....they are culturally endowed with a social system that is apathy to the mode of politics and state rulership practiced in Nigeria. Democracy and State Rulership....the existence of a social heirarchy of authority and orderliness comes natural to Yorubas and Hausa/Fulani, who for centuries existed under Obas and Sarkis.

So Ibos want Nigeria but the Nigerian politics is too overwhelming for them, and everytime Ibo get power he miuses it and ruin everything because the system is too confusing for his understanding. As i said earlier, Bifra is a cop out...a hideout for Ibos intimidated by the political rivalry.

cant differentiate btwn democracy and feudalism. Go easy on dat amala and ewedu...and regain ur brain.

Are you for real? Bro,we still remember how it went down in Abia state gov. Election, where some people were against governance of a candidate coz of his tribe..And I know some tribes in anambra that won't allow their daughter or son marry from another tribe in this same anambra. So bro there has always being nepotism and tribalism even inside a major tribe like hausa,Yoruba and Igbo.

The question I ask is this. Why is it that these same yoruba's and hausa's who say that Igbo's have nothing to contribute to Nigeria are always the first to say indirectly that igbo's should not secede cause it will be to painful blah blah blah. I think they should actually by now be begging those useless igbo's to actually go away!

That is what Radio Biafra is teaching people to prevent, mental toughness, sense of duty, discipline and perseverance.

I am telling anyone who cares to learn, my brother in BDOI told me and our family point blank that if any of us turn sabo, he will give order for our execution and set off for other things to do.
And I am telling my friends too, if u turn sabo when we march, I will kill you at sight. I swear to God.

Anyone who is Biafran and against Biafra, u have to just take ur family, go far away and stay with your fellow Nigerians, but don't make sure u come back, either in victory or in vanquish.

U don't support Biafra, let it end on Nairaland, if u turn sabo, Ifeajuna will be ur case.
pls bro can yu update me more on what's going on with the march?? When r we marching ?

I have resolved in times past never to comment on pro- or anti-secessionist threads. They usually end up in flame wars that go on and on and on. But for this...I will make an exception.

I myself have said in times past here that African countries do not peacefully split up. This is because they are all mostly resource dependent. They are soo heavily reliant on selling resources that if the part that has some or all of the resources splits....we would end up with a big fight for the resources. Look at Sudan and South Sudan, Congo DR and Katanga. Even the Liberian civil war and Sierra Leone civil war featured fights for who would get the diamond mines.

In my opinion, each and every part of Nigeria....not just Igbos....each and every part of Nigeria....should go and develop indigenous industrial economies. Because....right now, every part of Nigeria cannot do without Niger Delta oil...and if we split now...we would end up with a big fight for Niger Delta oil (Oh, and that includes the Niger Delta too....we can no longer rely on oil resources. Oil prices are dropping). Once each and every state can stand on its own, then we can talk of peaceful secession (Like the Czechs and Slovaks for example...or even Scotland and the UK).

We could also sponsor an amendment to the Constitution that would allow for the formation of secessionist political parties. Allow them to take office. Let them run local government and let's see how they do.(As seen in the UK....where secessionist parties like Plaid Cymru, SNP, and Sinn Fein operate).

I would also like it if Igbo leaders and the people , as well as the rest of Nigeria get rid of corruption. Because secession is worth nothing if you have the same old corrupt people from before running the show after (Infact, one of the things that turns me off secession is the corrupt behaviour of local governors and LG chairmen. Your tribesman is not supposed to loot from you).

All in all, let us pursure all solutions...other than war. Because the last time we went to war...between 200000-3million people died. We do not want that again. We do not want foreign troops on our soil in the name of peacekeepers. We do not want mass cases of kwashiorkor and marasmus. We do not want people dying unnecessarily.

I conclude with these words from the old East German anthem(dictatorial regime, yes...but still meaningful words).

Let all paths by peace be lighted,
That no mother shall again
Mourn her son in woe,
Mourn her son in woe.
*

We must strive for peace, unity and development. We must end to evils of bigotry and of hatred. We must be ready to act like mature citizens of this good Earth, and we must remember that even though Nigeria is a contraption, we can yet still make it better and stronger inspite of that.

*From the second stanza of Auferstanden aus ruinen , Risen from the Ruins, the National Anthem of the German Democratic Republic . Words by Johannes Becher, lyrics by Hanns Eisler. Source:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Auferstanden_aus_Ruinen

Do these people and millions of other IPOB in 90 countries look like people who u will give referendum and they say "no no sir, we like one Nigeria oh, we love it here thank you".

After 30th May, Nnamdi Kalu gained more followers, u know those ones that like watch and see if people really mean their words, when they heard he came to Aba live, I mean his followership more than tripled, if he has like 10 million prior to 30th may, he will likely have more than 30 million now.
These faces do not look like people that will see someone who wants to vote NO, and they don't club the efulefu there and then.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XWyq7PWrs8I

If u think this ones that stood for more than 4,hours under the sun, and marched a whole city with the same sun, will vote No to referendum, then think again.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XWyq7PWrs8I

I remember this kind of mob wanted to stone T.A Orji to death when he came to Aba some time last year, they have to had radio an attack helicopter at CPS nearby to come help rescue.

When T.A Orji came back months later he was riding Armored Tank with battle ready NA battalion guarding him.

They let him go cus he is not worthy being killed like a common criminal, they actually left him for vultures to work on him later in his life.
A couple of a thousand people in one of the MANY cities in Igbo land Aba does not show mass acceptance. Where are Biafrans in Enugu,Onitsha, Nsukka,Abakaliki,Awka, Umuahia, Owerri, Nnewi, Ekwulobia, Mbaise, Awgu, Udi,etc?
Gathering a handful of misguided clowns is good business for Nnamdi Kanu but actually shows how easily decieved and gullible some of our people are.

rich folks?? So do you think that when Biafra comes then all Igbo(biafran) properties/investment in other region will be called abandoned property?? Or dont people have properties in other countries??

Remember that you want to secede through war. And during wartime, no property belongs to the waring enemies. Confiscation of property is an instrument of war. It happened during biafra. So if you want to go, go using international diplomacy

[s] I feel a deep sense of grief and bewilderment when I read a lot of misguided comments from my Igbo brothers with some calling for a violent secession from Nigeria. Most of the generation of people making these statement never witnessed the civil war. They did not see first hand the horrors of war. They did not experience the terrific impact of bombs or the loud ear splitting sounds of heavy artillery shells as the explode. Should I talk about the economic impact? How our people were reduced to paupers and had to start from the scratch. How beautiful daughters were forcefully torn from the warm embrace of their families and married off to leprous men in the North just to spite our people. Only a mentally deranged and prone to self destruction individual will ever in his life support a violent secession from Nigeria.

Our problem is not secession. Our problem is learning how to live with other tribes in harmony while doing our businesses. Our focus should be on how to build consensus across the nation for vital political interests.

I laugh heartliy when I see some misguided Niger Delta youths like barcanista and co trying to be clever by half by playing to our sense of entitlement. Speaking from both sides of the mouth about how our people are being pushed aside and marginalized.
Yet these are the same people that effectively sabotaged the Biafran struggle under Ojukwu. These are the same people that lead the enemy in through our backyards and betrayed their so called brothers. Now they have started a new song because their brother Jonathan who performed woefully was booted out by majority of Nigerians.

I want us to know sometime that is historical. The moment an attempt is made to secede, the I jaws will immediately turn their backs and negotiate us away to advance their interests. So we will end up alone fighting the whole of Nigeria and loosing again.

When the chips are down, we are always alone.

Another point to consider is that Nigeria has become too intergrated to break up. Almost every family has in laws across their tribe. How will that be handled?

Igbo are the most integrated people in Nigeria with business interests across the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria. Most of our people will become jobless or stay and be killed the moment a secession is declared.

Those who knew the truth will tell you that even inside Biafra there were still serious cases of tribalism and nepotism, even under the revered Ojukwu. That was why ahiara declaration became necessary to tackle these issues.

Finally, we are not ready militarily and would only be engaging in another massive waste of life if we insist on our ways.
So my people do not be deceived! Our best and only bet is to remain as law abiding citizens of Nigeria while doing our best to continue to be relevant in the scheme of things.
Ka Chineke mezie okwu.

How i wish Biafra can just happen peacefully, but the problem of we igbos is that we dont know the stand of our governors and senators and other political personalities, and that is really weaking our trust that we would have showered towards one well known and anoited person......

The problem with Nigeria is they will never listen to your pleas and requests until you do it forcefully and violently, after many years of war, nothing good has been built over here(in terms of FG projects) in the SS/SE how then will you prove that there was no victor and no vanquished??

You sound like a broken record, nothing good has been built in that country because the leaders you elected are useless , some of these SE have the highest reputations monthly and have done nothing , you had over 6 years of a SS/SE FG and what did he do, no notable milestone was reached in the construction of the second Niger bridge.

When you become Biafra those leaders would still remain and your problems would be more specialised but ever present.
