Henry120: Interesting talk you and him are having about cockpits. Saudi Arabian pilots who 4th Gen F-15 and Tornado, are struggling with Euro Typhoon complicated avionics. Thus, the Saudi authorities decided to evaluate JF-17 Thunder which is easier to fly as a 4th Gen avionics platform . |

RudzSA:By 2013 Nigeria had 20 billionaires. By 2015 , Nigeria has 23 billionaires while South Africa has only added 1 to its 7. The fact remains the fact even if you don't believe it. Your tears can't change it. |

RudzSA:You're not even posing a challenge to me. First, you've got to learn to write properly and not scribbling like a teenager in Facebook. Then get your facts right. South Africa isn't the most visited country in Africa. It is actually Morocco. The rest of your other gibberish is incomprehensible. |

jln115: I don't think this is the case. The Gripen E/F cockpit seems to have a whole lot of things going on in there. I think the SU-35 and F-35 cockpits are way more user friendly than the Gripen E/F. Even with the F-35, pilots are already complaining that the Helmet is too large. |

jln115: The link I posted in response to Agaugust illustrates my point. Pakistani F-16s, not Block-52s shooting down RAF typhoons. Advanced shouldn't mean complicated, neither do they automatically mean efficient. |

Henry120:Yes it is dude! Why does is matter so much to you if it was a black or white person that built our MRAPs? South Africans are South African regardless of colour. Besides im willing to put my life on it, that there are/were many many Black South Africans that work/worked on the A-Darter,Badger,Mamba,RG 41,35,34,33,32,31, Mbombe,Umkhonto, Hawk 120 LIFT,GBADS,ect ect ect Lastly i was using American athletes purely as an example! 2 Likes |

Henry240:Yes dude i agree 100% but you cant say the Gripen E/F has a complicated cockpit just by looking at a picture. As for your F16 vs EF source, I dont know how much a person can read in to that, the source also states that it could quite possibly be a lie, but even if its true there could be a whole host of reasons for what happened for exp inexperienced Pilots, Mechanical malfunctions ect ect. Anyway what i can tell you is that our Cheetah Cs went 2 for 2 in a dogfight against USAF F15Es. 4 Likes |

Distance plays a role in tourism ..morocco ,Egypt etc being a stone throw away from Europe ,Asia etc hav that advantage .S.A is a long way away from all those nd therefore the diff between us and them is negligable all things considered .making us the top destination ..check any list in Africa we dominate all of them . Il end my attempt at a normal convo wit u on this note ..G8+5 ,G20 ,NIC ,BRICS nd evrything that matters ..we fly the African flag high. Instead of jealousy u shud be happy that Africa has South Africa .we are happy that Nigeria exists so that our companies can offer u world class services .in the words of Pastor Chris oyakhilome ...God bless South Africa 1 Like 1 Share |

Henry120: F35, then Gripen then Su the thing is that 2-3 screens are less demanding that hundreds of tiny gauges and buttons spread all across the cockpit, not to mention that the HMD will display essential information during intestive combat where the pilot has to focus on his flying and has no time to manage his jet

Henry240: turns out it was just down to pilot training: Q: Any memorable experiences that you would like to share? A: On one occasion – in one of the international Anatolian Eagles - PAF pilots were pitted against RAF Typhoons, a formidable aircraft. There were three set-ups and in all three, we shot down the Typhoons. The RAF pilots were shocked. Q: Any particular reason for your success? A: NATO pilots are not that proficient in close-in air-to-air combat. They are trained for BVR [Beyond Visual Range] engagements and their tactics are based on BVR engagements. These were close-in air combat exercises and we had the upper hand because close-in air combat is drilled into every PAF pilot and this is something we are very good at. http://www.theregister.co.uk/2011/06/08/eurofighter_beaten_by_f16/ People have to remeber that when you get these "shocking" results from exercises you need to go and look into it because sometimes the parameters of the exercise are such that one asset is heavily crippled - like in this instance, the Typhoon pilots werent allowed to engage in BVR as the exercise was a WVR only exercise And finally, again, these claims are anecdotal |

@AUGUSTUS HAS NOT BEEN PAID Nigerian civil servants in Oyo, Osun, Cross River, Rivers, Abia, Benue, Plateau and Bauchi states have adopted different strategies to survive months of unpaid salaries in their states. The strategies include begging for money from friends and relatives, securing loans from different sources and doing menial jobs to survive. Some state governments, especially those led by the opposition All Progressives Congress and the Federal Government have been trading blame over the unpaid salaries of workers. While the states attributed the development to the drop in federal allocations to them, the Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, accused them of not prioritising salary payments. In Oyo State, for instance, where the government has not paid salaries for three months, some civil servants skip their lunch daily. A few others, it was gathered, however report to their duty posts with garri and groundnuts which serve as their lunch. One of them revealed at the state secretariat in Ibadan that the state government gave them reasons for the non-payment of their salaries. He said, “My colleagues are not happy because of the situation. Some of them now skip lunch break because they have no means to observe it. http://www.nigerianeye.com/2015/05/nigerian-civil-servants-struggle-to.html 2 Likes 1 Share |
