If you don't grow the economy, you will struggle to pay interest when the time comes, no one said the money was to strengthen the economy. Try to understand before criticising.

According to Awolowo logic. The NE through Boko haram has depleted Nigeria's petro dollars, as the country has been forced to spend Billions of dollars it would have spent in building infrastructures all over the country, on Combating NE Boko haram.

The right thing to do is not to spend money rebuilding the NE, the right thing is to find a way to recover all the the money the FG spent securing the NE breakaway from Nigeria. In this case, NE people and wealthy individuals must be made to bear the blunt of their economic burden on the country, through this BVN stuff, money should be deducted from their accounts to cover for the money spent on securing their region from Boko haram they nurtured and grew. The FG can do better by reducing their monthly allocation and sharing it to other states.

NE must be made to pay for nurturing and unleashing Boko haram on Nigeria, and not rewarded.

This is Awolowo economics 101. But this is not being applied here. And I ask why?

A region that destroyed itself is rebuilt, but the Niger-Delta that is destroyed by the government is ignored.

Niger Delta destroyed itself, the individuals vandalizing the pipelines and causing oil leaks and explosions are from the Niger Delta, they are are the ones polluting their own water , kidnapping citizenry and causing havoc. In as much as that region needs to be rebuilt and regardless of what the terms are - don't you think it is too early in his government to start borrowing? He hasn't even selected his team (ministers) and I don't think he has established his budget and a blueprint of what he wants to do. Or was this part if the deal reached with the US?

This is a classic case of putting the cart before the horse. And drawing comparisons with GEJ who was an utter failure won't make it right.
